Cha-Ching Curriculum 2018

Cha-Ching Implementation Guidelines

Guidelines for Schools:


✓ To run the program in 6 separate sessions, at least 45 minutes each session.
✓ Program to be run in English.
✓ Confirm number of students (Standard 5) beforehand.
✓ Ratio of Teacher to Student - minimum of 1 teacher per normal class of students (30-
40 students).
✓ Pre-Survey should be done beginning of 1st session, and Post Survey at the end of the
6th session.
*Sufficient time should be provided for the students to complete the surveys
✓ Teachers to inform JA Malaysia prior to conducting Sessions in their schools and 2
weeks after completion of the program.
✓ Teachers to complete the Teacher Survey Forms.
✓ Teacher in charge to complete the Teachers Journal.
✓ Principal to complete the school's declaration form and signature confirmation on
program delivery dates, number of students, number of teachers, etc. (First Page of
Teacher Journal)

Star Rating Guidelines:


1. Program delivered in 6 separate sessions.
2. All 6 sessions to completed before 30th July 2018.
3. Upon completing survey forms to call JA Malaysia personnel.
4. The ratio of Teachers to students are met.
5. 90% of declared number of students involved in the program.
6. Teachers Journal is completed.
7. Schools involvement in Cha-Ching Competition.

To Obtain a Star Rating:


❖ Schools that meet all 7 conditions above - 3-star rating
❖ Schools that meet 6 out of 7 conditions above - 2-star rating
❖ Schools that meet 5 out of 7 conditions above - 1-star rating
❖ Schools that meet lesser than 5 conditions will receive a Cha-Ching Implementation
Certificate, with No star rating

➢ PPD's will be given a certificate of Cha-Ching implementation & involvement


➢ PPD’s will be given Certificate of Implementation with Excellence if fulfil the
requirement.

Cha-Ching Competition & Rewards System

School Level Competition


• Essay writing competition on theme – Earn, Save, Spend and Donate.
• Teacher will do a selection and top 3 essays are submitted for State Level Competition.
State Level Competition
• Selected 3 entries from each school is judged and the best essay (1 essay) in each State
will be selected to a National Level Competition.
National Level Competition
• Best students from each State to attend the 2019 Cha-Ching Conference.
• The competition to be held during the conference, students will make a presentation
and will be judged based on the presentations.

Rewards System
➢ Workshop at School – Conducted by teachers and students will be awarded
certificate.
➢ School Level Competition - 3 best essays are submitted for the State Level
Competition. Selected students will be awarded State Level certificate.
➢ State Level Competition – Best essay (1 essay) in each State will be selected to a
National Level Competition and will be awarded a certificate.
➢ National Level Competition - Students will be judged for the National Winner.
Certificate will be awarded for top 3 student “Attendance for National competition”.

Deliverables of Teacher at School

1) To run the Program in 6 separate session. (1 hour each session)

2) To train other teachers on How to run the Cha-Ching Program.

3) Run the Program in English.

4) Give out Pre-Survey Questionnaires to students at the start of Session 1.

5) Minimum 1 teacher to run program for 30-40 students. (Max 50 students)

6) Teacher to give out Post-Survey Questionnaire to students at the end of Session 6.

7) Sufficient time should be allocated to the students to complete the Pre/Post Survey.

8) Teacher to complete Teacher/Volunteer Survey

9) Complete Teacher Journal.

10) Fill Names of ALL Teachers involved in delivering the program.

Instructions for Sending Pre/Post Survey Forms and Teacher Journal to JA Malaysia

1) Ensure ALL students have completed the Pre/Post Survey Forms

2) Ensure ALL Teachers and Volunteers have completed the Teacher Journal and Teacher

Survey Forms

3) Compile all survey forms neatly (Pre/Post/Teacher/Teacher Journal)

4) Put compiled survey forms in the GDex bags provided and leave it at office for collection

5) Inform JA Malaysia through Whatsapp group that documents are ready for collect ion
