They are short words that usually goes in front of a noun and, sometimes, of verbs in gerund. They
link nouns, pronouns and phrases to other words in a sentence. These links are of direction,
place, time, cause, manner and amount.

A prepositional phrase is a group of words that begins with a preposition and ends
with a noun or pronoun. They can act as adjectives or as adverbs.
