Introduction
The building is located in a low-density area of the city with sport
installation and parking area, close to the town center. The regular

two prefab elements: a concrete lattice for translucent parts and GRC GRC panel
panel for blind parts. The lattice was fabricated with one purpose made with steel
large size mould and has been installed either, horizontally or vertically, as column
to add variety to the facade by just one standard constructive element.

1.2 Precedent Study : Green Facade
Introduction
At Studio 5c in Tempe, Arizona, a deciduous vine has climbed over 40 feet to shade the west-facing façade
and walkway from the desert sun as it releafs and blooms every summer, tempering the heat gain inside the
building and shading access to each office suite.

Innovative design used to solve the environment considerations that accounted for in an urbaN. Circulation
spaces between offices, as well as vertically, have been placed beyond the structures skin in order to minimize
the amount of air conditioned space. On the exterior circulation spaces, shade and screening are created by
multi-story structural steel components that are infilled with trellis panels that facilitate the growth of climbing
vines. The 3707 s.f. of lightweight trellis panels are attached to the steel by a custom slot in the full perimeter trim
of the panels that allows for a bolt through application. A very narrow planting bed of only 14“ is enough space
for vines that reach to more than 40’ tall, forming a flowering vertical tapestry.

Benefits
-shading expose spaces

-The green facades also reduce building heat gain by filtering direct sunlight into the building whilst allowing
natural cross-ventilation.

-For heat-resistant which minimizes thermal radiation in hot season in the tropical climate, the façade is working
as a buffer space allowing plants to grow.

-The combination of interrupting solar heat gain, along with the microclimate created by the
evapotranspiration of the plants successful in keeping a comfortable temperature range.

-Cost effective and practical consideration for arid regions.Since the completion of Studios 5c in 2001, the
application of green facade walls to help control heat gain has been expanded to recent projects including
the Phoenix Light Rail stations and the Tempe Transit Center.

The diagram shown how the temperatures of

building surfaces collect and radiate heat
gain, while shaded areas and plant leaves are
considerably cooler. Leaf surface
temperatures are at or near the ambient air
30º 31º 24º 31º temperature during evapotranspiration and in
some cases are actually 3-5 degrees Celsius
cooler.

Size : 3703 sq.ft.
Project Year : July 14, 2013 Disadvantages
-Not flexible to locaced. The green facade need to be located in position that will have the best sun exposure
which may demand placing them opposite to other neighborhood homes.
-Vertical landscaping tends to require more maintenance.

1.4 Precedent Study : Steel Framing and Concrete Slab
Steel/concrete composite structure
The pre-composition dead load is resisted by the cross section of steel,
and the post-composition dead load and the live load are resisted by
the composite cross section. Compared with stud dowels, etc. for
ordinary composite girders, the steel/concrete composite structure is
inexpensive and lower in structural height, as its integration depends on
the adhesive force of projections of DFT and concrete.

Advantages
-composite construction is faster because of using rolled
steel cast-in-situ concrete.

-weight of the structural steel frame decreased which

reduce the foundation cost

-reduction live load deflections.

-increased span lengths Beam and girder with shear connectors for composite action

-depth and weight of steel beam required is reduced. So
