Ram os, enter ed the building of an
Annapolis, M ar yland new spaper , w ent to
the new sr oom , and shot five em ployees of

about how he had har assed a high school
classm ate, going do far as to call her job
and tr y to convince them to fir e her. (She

let go, conceivably because of those calls).
He had also tr ied to sue the Capital
Gazette for defam ation,but it w as
dism issed because the infor m ation in the
ar ticle w as all tr ue. He had also tr olled
sever al em ployees of the new spaper.
Despite the ter r or and tr agedy of this
attack, the Capital Gazette still put out an
issue yester day. They r epor ted on the
open shooter in their ow n building, and
they left the?Opinions? page blank except
for the m essage, ?We ar e speechless.?

Double out of business. W hile tim e-tr aveling
has been unbanned, som e cam per s have
been com ing back to cam p w ith either
futur istic w eaponr y or m edieval siege
w eapons (this becam e a pr oblem after a
cam per accidentally fir ed their catapult at
the Old Building, destr oying it). Daily Double
has been r eplaced w ith the Tim e-Tr aveler ?s

At this point, you r ealize that Aar on and
Walker ar e tr ying to m ake cam p the least
fun place on Ear th. But if Cam p got r id of

Befor e w e begin I need to state tw o things. 1: I
am not a hater of those tw o m ovies, this ar ticle is my
opinion about the fans and cr itics r eacted to the
m ovies and saying w hat w ill get the fans back to
enjoying the film s. 2: Ther e w ill be no spoiler s for
those tw o m ovies in this ar ticle.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi did am azing in the box
office. The cr itics loved it. But the fans didn?t. Well,
m ost of the fans. On r otten tom atoes 91% of cr itics
liked it. 46% of fans like it. W hy w as ther e this huge
gap? Well, it?s because cr itics could be fangir ls or
fanboys but that usually doesn?t show in their
r eview s because it's their job to say if the m ovie is
good or not, and not their ow n per sonal feelings on
it. Fans don't have that job, and so com plained about
how it r uined their childhood and the fr anchise. And
Disney lear ned a lesson fr om that. But then Solo: a
Star Wars Story cam e out, and that?s w er e not only
fans but cr itics too com plained.
On Rotten Tom atoes Solo had a m or e even scor e,
71% of cr itics liked it and 64% of fans liked it. Is it
better thats its m or e even? Well the answ er is NO.
The m ain differ ence of the tw o is that The Last Jedi
m ade m oney, Solo didn?t. Solo is gonna lose m oney.
And Disney w ill pr obably lear n a big lesson, on w hy
Solo didn?t m ake m oney, thats because it w asn?t
needed. It w as just to flesh out a char acter that
(SPOILER WARNING COVER THIS IF YOU HAVEN'T
SEEN STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS) dies. W hat
Disney needs to lear n is that they should str ay aw ay

class Exper im ental Photogr aphy. They used
pinhole cam er as to cr eate these
black-and-w hite photos. Pinhole cam er as ar e
basically any container that can be fully
sealed and they have a hole in the side that is
used as a shutter. W hen the shutter is opened,
light com es into the cam er a and onto a
special piece of paper inside the cam er a. You
can leave the shutter open for a long tim e,
like 5 m inutes. If people m ove ar ound in
fr ont of the cam er a, this cr eates a blur effect.
W hen you ar e done you take the paper into
the dar kr oom and use chem icals to m ake it
into a ?negative? photo. You use m achines to
figur e out the am ount of light you need to
cr eate the positive, or final, photo. Then you
use a special light to im pr int the negative
onto another sheet of paper , w hich you then
develop. This is the positive. The top left
photo is of a sw ing set. Ther e w er e actually
people sw inging in the photo, but they w er e
m oving so fast that you can?t see the people in
the pictur e. This is also som ew hat tr ue in the
other photos. The top r ight photo show s one
per son standing still, but other people
m oving ar ound him ar e blur r ed. The bottom photo show s som e people in the tr uck on the playgr ound.

CRCAP is a w onder ful cam p not only

series, requires semi-to major geekness regarding the sport of
baseball and the M LB*
If you?ve ever played on a baseball team , you know that team s
ar e alw ays tr ying to get the upper hand, w hether it?s using a pinch
hitter in a high-pr essur e situation, or intentionally w alking a slow
batter to get to a better m atchup w ith the next batter vs. the
cur r ent pitcher , instead of changing the pitcher for no r eal r eason.
But ther e is a w hole other elem ent that team s pr actice occasionally
and som etim es pull in gam e.
Hypothetically, w hen ther e ar e r unner s on fir st and thir d
base, the coach pulls together his m iddle infielder s (second
basem an and shor tstop), and tells them that he w ill yell either
Dustin Pedr oia or Xander Bogaer ts. Pedr oia w ould signal that the
deke thr ow (tr ick play) fr om the catcher w ould go to the 2nd
basem an, but Bogaer ts w ould signal that it w ould go to the
shor tstop. The goal of the play w ould be to tr ick the r unner into
br eaking for hom e because he believes that that the catcher has
thr ow n to second, so the m iddle infielder can thr ow back to the
catcher and tag the r unner out, taking aw ay a r un. I know that it
sounds kind of outlandish, but team s in little league (kids 5-14 in
differ ent divisions) tr y it constantly w ith differ ent keyw or ds and it
w ill w or k occasionally in the r ight situation.
Another tr ick play that can be executed by a shor tstop or
second basem an w ith a ver y good poker face is dur ing a hit and
r un; if the ball is hit in the air , the shor tstop or second basem an
can r un over to second base, and pr etend to field a double play.
W ith luck and a gr eat poker face, as I said befor e, the play w ill
w or k, and the outfielder w ho caught the ball w ill be able to thr ow
out the r unner back at fir st base, som etim es even befor e they
r ealize that they had been tr icked and lulled into a differ ent play
by a sim ple sequence of m ovem ents.
These ar e plays that can be executed at m ost levels, w ith the
exception of tee-ball, w hen the kids ar e so sm all it?s har d to m ake
them do anything. But back to the topic, ther e ar e m any types of
dekes and tr ick plays that ar e used at all levels, and they can be
used anyw her e on the field. An extr em ely com m on one that is

public no longer sees them as tr ick plays, though they still ar e (e.g.,
pickoff thr ow ). And they can only be cor r ectly used w ith a set of
signs, a tr usted fielder , and som e ver y good planning.

Terminology Note: 1an illegal motion made by a pitcher that may
deceive a base runner. This is different than a pickoff move because
pickoff moves involve the pitcher quickly jumping behind the
pitching rubber and throwing to first. Coming off the rubber makes
them an infielder, and therefore the action is not a balk.
