Our concerns are due to the


following elements seen during our
survey:
−There are no completed master
plan for the entire premises. The
factory engineer only provided us
with partial master plans.
−Most structural steel roof has no
detailed drawings. Only buildings 01
and 04 seem to have proper

−The connection between the brick
walls or bricks masonry columns and

details.
−An engineering assessment is
recommended to verify all
connections.

We require that these items
be investigated in a Detail
Engineering Assessment.

Concerns on the stability system for wind loading and


seismic loading. There is no obvious lateral stability
system in most of the building.

• No compression members were
provided at the beams and the
columns joint.
• The diagonals bracings are loose
therefore not effective.
• Some of the bracings were
removed to make pathway or
brick walls.

Water Ingress at Roof Level
No waterproofing membrane were
visible on the RC roofs of all the
buildings.

We request the installation of a


waterproofing membrane
otherwise any cracks in roof top
surfaces will allow water to seep
into the concrete slab beneath the
finishes, and cause long-term
soaking of the slab. Structural,
electrical and architectural
damage may occur if no adequate
protection is applied.
