 Senior Research Fellow at Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute, Cochin from
29.11.2013 – 10.02.2018 in NFDB funded research project “National Surveillance
Programme for Aquatic Animal Diseases” (4 years 2½ months).

 Highly Skilled under Dr. K.K Vijayan, H.O.D., Marine Biotechnology Division of Central
Marine Fisheries Research Institute from 15.04.2013 to 28.11.2013 (7½ months).

 Worked as Research Fellow at Central Institute of Brackishwater Aquaculture (Govt. of


India) from 29.10.2007 to 31.03.2011. The project “Characterization and development of
diagnostics for viral nervous necrosis in Seabass (Lates calcarifer) and Mullet (Mugil
cephalus)” was funded by Dept. of Biotechnology (DBT), Govt. of India (3½ years).

 Peer-reviewed manuscripts for the international journals Veterinary Research (impact

Teaching Experience

 Worked as Lecturer at Department of Aquaculture, S.H College, Thevara (affiliated to


M.G University, Kottayam, Kerala) from June 2011 to May 2013. The papers handled were
Physiology, Pathology and Genetics & Biotechnology (2 years).

 Acted as External Examiner to Kerala University of Fisheries and Oceanographic Studies


(KUFOS) for evaluation of examination answer sheets.

Products designed

 Two-tube nested rt-PCR and rt-LAMP diagnostic kits for fish nodavirus. This can be
used to detect acute as well as asymptomatic infections of fish nodavirus.

 Nested PCR and LAMP kits for diagnosis of Perkinsus infection in bivalves.

 LAMP kit for diagnosis of WSSV infection in crustaceans.
