Memorial Lodge #327.

I am advised that at the November meeting on Thursday 11th the Memorial Lodge #327 will celebrate
the 85th year of the Ceremony of Remembrance.

At Echuca Lodge on Saturday 9th September Wor Bro Lee

Pattinson, ** was Installed as WM of that Lodge by our Deputy
Grand Master, Rt Wor Bro Bob Jones, DGM assisted by Rt
Wor Bro John Stapleton JGW and his Grand Team.
Around 95 witnessed the Open Investiture part of the Ceremony
and a great night was had by all.
From reports received our Deputy Grand Master made a great
impression on those present and comes across as a “Mans Man”
Funny thing, in the photo shows the DGM and WM having a bit
of an arm wrestle over a bottle of Scotch!
Part of the message received by the Editor CLEARLY STATES
“Claiming a bottle of Scotch—hope you can use it!”
O.K Lee, when do I get it?
** (please note W.Bro. Lee which always appears to me as a
misnomer as he started out the evening as PGIW in the NSW
Constitution and during the course of proceedings his new Rank
in NSW to PJGW in that Constitution was announced . How-
ever, for some reason NSW ranks are frowned upon in Victoria
Freemasonry Universal????
Lee served a District Inspector of Workings for a very large
area of S/West NSW for several years and clocked up around
69,000 Km in the course of his duties, well done!)***

Swan Hill Lodge at its September meeting presented Rt Wor
Bro Jim Thompson, PSGW with a memento for having served
as Secretary for 12 years.
Jim has handed over the reins to Wor Bro Ernie Russell who
will be a very capable replacement. Congrats Jim…..and Ernie.
