OBJECTIVES
The aim of the project is to forecast the future trip generation (production
and attraction) for the city of Vellore.
We will use the regression models developed for comprehensive transport
planning provided in the report of Vellore Municipal Corporation.
Using these models, we will forecast the zone wise trip productions and
attractions of the base year and the future target years.
Finally, we will have an idea about the travel demand for the entire city,
which may help to determine whether developmental schemes are required
to improve the transportation system of the city.
REGRESSION MODELS:
These regression models have been developed for the base year 2009
