Hi Everybody!
Milwaukee Professionals Association LLC is proud to announce the BIAS SMART Conversation, with a
World Café style – to promote context, interest, personal stories, frankness, difference, and solution-
building.
We are specifically addressing the engagement of Starbucks Corporation launched on May 29, 2018 by
Howard Schultz, Founder/Emeritus of Starbucks.
MPA LLC 1-year Follow-up on Starbucks BIAS training features 5 Licensed and 8 corporate sites for start-
up.
MPA LLC seeks engagement based on Dialogue with transparency and accountability in social
responsibility while”doing business in the city of Milwaukee”.
It is so important that We, The People, see aggressive movement from our present mired condition of
Enduring Concentrated Poverty and connectivity to the N EW CLASS of Broadband users for the digital
economy.
We WELCOME entrepreneurship partnerships, quality of Life and economic development; however, it
starts at home. We, the Core Constituents have been co-opted with misuse of laws, use of federal
funding, giveaways, and the failure of our corporations to provide support and changes where needed
for capacity building.
We depend on follow-thru of the corporate employee – Leadership and Operation Team.
That means STEVE MARCUS & Peggy Williams-Smith, VP, (MARCUS Corporation); MICHAEL
MARX & Mike Meszaros, Store Director and James Wiecek, Assistant Manager (METRO Mart
Van Buren); KEN BARRETT & Danielle Vechey, General Manager (MARRIOT/
WHITELODGING); JIM SKOGSBERGH and NICK TURKAL & Erickajoy Daniels, HR, and Rachel
Roller, SVP-Community (ST. LUKE’S Medical Center).

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
White Lodging isn’t just a hotel development group. We’re a proud member of the communities in
which we operate. And when we take a stand — for the planet, and for our people — we sleep well at
night, because we know we’re living up to our full potential in a changing world.
For associates, that means a career at White Lodging is about more than themselves and the company.
It means success knows no boundaries when it comes to our community.
When a cause captures our imagination, we become fierce advocates for its mission. One such nonprofit
is Back on My Feet, which promotes self-sufficiency in homeless populations. Since 2010, we’ve raised
or donated more than $500,000 for the organization through the “CNN Heroes” program. It began with
“White Lodging Sneaker Day,” when associates wore sneakers at work to build awareness. Since then,
our efforts have helped Back on My Feet open two new chapters.
FOR OUR FUTURE
The hospitality industry is only as strong as its next generation. White Lodging’s commitment to
education will help cultivate the hospitality leaders of tomorrow. In 2009, The Dean & Barbara White
and Bruce & Beth White Family Foundations gifted $5 million to Purdue University Northwest to support
a hospitality facility, two endowed professorships and a scholarship in collaboration with the National
Association of Black Hotel Owners, Operators and Developers (NABHOOD).
FOR OUR PEOPLE
We expect extraordinary things from our associates. We recognize that we must provide them with the
tools and resources they need to be empowered and achieve their very best. Our skills training
programs ensure that White Lodging associates can do their career-best work every day. In fact, we’ve
been recognized seven times by Training Magazine’s esteemed list of Top 125 training companies, a rare
honor for hotel development groups. We’re in good company, too, sharing space on that list with the
likes of Best Buy, McDonald’s and Bank of America.

At Aurora Health Care, our purpose of helping each other live well guides our work
each and every day. Whether through caring for our patients, sponsoring
community health and wellness initiatives, or convening community conversations,
we’re with you. The Aurora Better Together Fund is one way that we are fulfilling
our purpose. The Fund is a powerful example of how community collaboration can
make addresses some of the greatest health care disparities in our communities by
expanding access to primary and behavioral health care, as well as violence
prevention and treatment through community partnership
We’re committed to supporting research that leads to new and improved ways to
care for people and manage community health. Our focus is on conducting research
that has proven benefits for our patients. We work with the Center for Urban
Population Health (CUPH), which was established in 2001 as a partnership between
Aurora Health Care, the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public
Health, and UW-Milwaukee. CUPH is located in the Aurora Sinai Medical Center, in
the heart of Milwaukee. Its goal is to identify what will make people healthier, and to
create partnerships with community health and academic experts to put those ideas
into practice.
Currently, Aurora has more than 700 clinical research projects – including more
than 400 clinical trials. That means you’ll be the first to benefit from new drugs,
devices and procedures.
In 2018, our impact will continue to extend well beyond our walls into the
communities we serve. From our sponsorship support to our continued
collaboration with our 53 Better Together Fund partners, and our Caring, we are
excited about our plans to positively impact our communities. Thank you for your
continued support and involvement in this important work. May we continue to
help each other live well?
