1.1 Key Dates (Planned start/finish of construction phase)

1.2 Minimum time allowed between appointment of the PC and


instruction to work on site.

1.3 Details of clients, designers, CDMC and other consultants.

1.4 Whether construction is used as a workplace. If so, finished


designs to take account of W(HS&W) Regs 1992.

1.5 Extent and location of existing records and plans.

3. Environmental restrictions and existing on-site risks

3.1 Safety Hazards including:

3.1.1 boundaries and access, including temporary access –


e.g. narrow streets, lack of parking, turning or storage
space.

3.1.2 any restrictions on deliveries or waste collection/storage

3.1.3 adjacent land use – e.g. schools, railway lines, busy


roads

3.1.4 existing storage of hazardous materials

3.1.5 location of existing services particularly concealed –


electricity, gas, water etc.

3.1.6 ground conditions, underground structures or water


courses where this might affect the safe use of plant, e.g.
cranes, or the safety of ground works

3.1.7 info on existing structures – stability structural form,


fragile or hazardous materials, anchorage points for fall
arrest systems.

3.1.8 previous structural modifications, including weakening or


strengthening of the structure.

3.1.9 fire damage, ground shrinkage, movement or poor


maintenance which may have adversely affected the
structure

3.1.10 any difficulties relating to plant and equipment in the


premises, such as overhead gantries whose height
restricts access

3.1.11 health and safety info contained in earlier design,


construction or “as-built” drawings, such as details of pre-
stressed or post tensioned structures

3.2 Health hazards, including:

3.2.1 asbestos, including results of surveys

3.2.2 existing storage of hazardous materials

3.2.3 contaminated land, including results of surveys

3.2.4 existing structures containing hazardous materials

3.2.5 health risks arising from clients activities
