Introduction of New Full Digital

B&W Diagnostic Ultrasound System ProSound 6

We are pleased to inform you of our release of ProSound 6, a new, full digital B&W
diagnostic ultrasound system, in the commercial market.

The ProSound 6 has a capacity of providing super high

quality B&W images with 12.1 inches high resolution LCD
monitor. This system inherits the ProSound technologies
such as Front-end technologies, Extended Pure Harmonic
Detection (ExPHD), Wideband super high density probes
(W-SHD) and so on.

The Front-end Digital Beam-former technology is

implemented for high speed signal processing and high
quality B&W images. The 12 bits A/D scan converter gives
the wide dynamic range on the B-mode image. The
“ExPHD” technology developed by Aloka, brings the B-mode
image into higher quality level using wide band harmonic
detection. The “Smooth B”, an Edge optimizer function, is
inherited into this system from the higher class models of ProSound system, which
provides smoother images on the various applications.

The height and direction of the operation panel and the LCD
monitor, is independently movable, which realizes very
comfortable examination to practitioners. The LCD monitor
is pre-mounted and easily fixed at the installation site, which
greatly reduces the labor of your field engineers.
In the operation, the system realizes very short boot up and
shut down time, which is also convenient to use in operation
theaters and emergency units. The transducer family of
ProSound 6 is almost same as those of SSD-4000.

Shipment of ProSound 6 is planned to start from October, 2007, and we are now ready
to accept your purchase orders. Please contact the person in charge for delivery
schedule.

Notes:
1) The design of ProSound 6 is very compact and powerful for limited examination
space and is very friendly to the operator. The height of LCD monitor and control
panel are adjustable independently. The height of the system, from the floor to
the top of the monitor, is adjustable from 121cm at the lowest to 161cm at the
highest.

2) The first commercial product, which software version is 1.0, works with the
following probes shown on the list. More probes will become connectable on the
future versions.
