to save your books

T his new improved version of the


bookbinding press, combines even
more functions in one
multifunctional machine by virtue of its
ingenious design.
Its singular innovative design, allows the
press element to rotate, effortlessly, from the
horizontal to the vertical position or even a
full 180o degree rotation thus offering an
alternative work surface.
It is constructed totally by hand from beech
wood and stainless steel elements, as well as
other chrome parts which can be easily
removed to enhance its functionality while
reducing its space requirements.
It also offers a curved knife for cutting large
size materials which is designed in such
manner as to offer complete safety in all
phases of the cutting process.

Lying press
he press in the lying position the most basic
T phase of bookbinding process- provides a pair of
wedge- shaped hardwood backing boards with
bronze- faced beveled edges. It is easy to use and
readily prepares the book for sewing, gluing and
rounding.
Length of backing boards: 50cm.

Sewing frame
he sewing frame is assembled on the base of the
T unit located at such a position as to allow you to
work unhindered. What’s more it can easily folded
down and, even, removed entirely from the base
unit and used separately.
Base of the frame 56 x 40cm.
Distance between screws 47 cm.

Plough
he plough offers the perfect tool to trim the edges
T of your book after sewing and gluing. This
versatile and compact piece of equipment is easy to
use and will cut book edges accurately and cleanly.
It has a long steel blade that will cut up sheet sizes
up to 50 cm long.

The book Cutting Guide, provided together, is also a


useful equipment holding the book during the
trimming process. It can be adjusted according to the
height of the book.
4 Paper & Board Cutter
T he press incorporates a paper cutter assembled on
the base which is designed in such manner as to
offer complete safety in all phases of the cutting
process. It features high quality self-sharpening
curved steel blades.

The knife of the cutter can be locked providing


safety when not in use, while its handle can be
detached providing space.

The cutter also provides a drop leaf trim shelf and a


hand operated clamp that holds items securely. A
ruler is marked in centimeters, to assure accuracy.
Cuts clearly and accurately paper, board, film,
textiles, leather, pvc etc.
Length: 50 cm.
5 Finishing press
I n the lying position a pair of fine edged boards are
provided in order to clamp books securely in place
allowing them to be lettered or decorated.
Working area: length 50cm.

Standing press
he standing press is used for the final pressing of
T the book during the drying process. Its unique
innovative design, allows the press element to rotate
effortlessly, to the vertical position. A pair of
wooden press-plates applies uniform pressure across
the book.
Plate dimensions: 50 x 35cm
Usable area opening: 21 cm.
7 Working Table
T he rotation ability, allows the press elements to
fold, thus offering an alternative working surface.
Two wooden plates placed on top, create the
working table.
