Overview
Anova Data provides industry-standard key performance indicators (KPIs) and value-add aggregate VoLTE KPIs to
measure network activity and enable you to isolate issues within your network.
Using the information provided by the KPIs, you can perform actions including the following:
• proactively managing network services
• troubleshooting issues in real-time
• understanding the root causes of customer issues. .

VoLTE Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
VoLTE KPIs provide insight into VoLTE performance. Table 2.1 lists and categorizes all VoLTE KPIs.
For a list of all attributes that may be included in VoLTE KPIs, see Appendix A, KPI Extract Fields

Registration KPIs
Registration Success
Description: Counts the number of successful registrations.
Logical Formula: Unique Call-Id count with REGISTER with successful response such as
200 OK. Successful responses are defined by configurable rules table and
enumerated in VoLTE Performance -> Signaling -> Signaling Events.

Measurement Type: Count
Registration Failure
Description: Counts the number of failed registrations.
Logical Formula: Unique Call-Id count with REGISTER with failed response with non 200
OK response code except 401 and 423. Failed responses are defined by
configurable rules table and enumerated in VoLTE Performance -> Signal-
ing -> Signaling Events.
Measurement Dimension: APN, Device, Subscriber, Cells, Media, CSCF, Gateways, Signaling
Events
Measurement Unit: Integer
Measurement Type: Count
Call KPIs
Call Duration
Description: Duration of a successful VoLTE Call.
Logical Formula: Average time between start of INVITE to the response of BYE for success-
ful calls.
Measurement Dimension: APN, Device, Subscriber, Cells, Media, CSCF, Gateways, Signaling
Events
Measurement Unit: Millisecond
Measurement Type: Mean
Active Call
Description: Counts the number of active calls.
Logical Formula: Unique Call-Id count for any successful INVITE, BYE, or DATA. Active
calls are defined by configurable rules table and enumerated in VoLTE Per-
formance -> Signaling -> Signaling Events.
Measurement Dimension: APN, Device, Subscriber, Cells, Media, CSCF, Gateways, Signaling
Events
Measurement Unit: Integer
Measurement Type: Count
Dropped Call
Description: Counts the number of dropped calls.
Logical Formula: Unique Call-Id count for INVITE with (StatusCode = 93 or 98), BYE with
(StatusCode = 90) or DATA with (StatusCode = 93). Dropped responses are
defined by configurable rules table and enumerated in VoLTE Performance
-> Signaling -> Signaling Events.
Measurement Dimension: APN, Device, Subscriber, Cells, Media, CSCF, Gateways, Signaling
Events
Measurement Unit: Integer
Measurement Type: Count
Oneway Call
Description: Counts the number of calls with no media traffic in either the upstream or
downstream direction, but not both.
Logical Formula: Unique Call-Id count for DATA records with RTP packets in one direction
only (i.e., audio in uplink only or downlink only) ((downlinkaudioflag = 1
AND uolinkaudioflag = 0) OR (downlinkaudioflag = 0 AND uplinkaudio-
flag = 1)).
Measurement Dimension: APN, Device, Subscriber, Cells, Media, CSCF, Gateways, Signaling
Events
Measurement Unit: Integer
Measurement Type: Count
No Media Call
Description: Counts the number of calls with no media traffic in either direction.
Logical Formula: Unique Call-Id count for DATA records with no RTP packets in both the
uplink and downlink. (downlinkaudioflag = 1 AND uplinkaudioflag = 1)
Measurement Dimension: APN, Device, Subscriber, Cells, Media, CSCF, Gateways, Signaling
Events
Measurement Unit: Integer
Measurement Type: Count
Uplink Jitter

Measurement Unit: Float
Measurement Type: Mean
Successful IW Call
Description: Counts the number of successful call attempts with SRVCC interworking.
Logical Formula: Unique transactions of either SRVCC or CSFB procedure with successful
response such as GTP-C 16. Successful responses are defined by configu-
rable rules table and are enumerated in VoLTE Performance -> Signaling ->
