Product description
EP D TN 24V-230V (/FM) is a two-pole single phase class III Surge Arrester with LED, which makes a
protection for single phase consumer equipment in the size of only 17.5mm width (1 DIN-module size)
possible.
The green LED indicates whether the operating voltage is available and the protection circuit is in function.
The varistors in the SPD are equipped each with a thermal safety sensor with N.C. contact which cut-off the
varistors from active lines if thermal overloaded by too high leakage current.
The safety cut-off contact operates in such way that it will not influence the active lines and equipment is kept
in function without interruption.
When this safety cut-off contacts response, the green LED will extinguish, and the SPD has to be replaced.
The optional thermal coupled N.C. remote signal contact (/FM) will open too.
The easy to install compact 1 DIN-module robust Polycarbonate housing can be comfortable snapped on a
35mm DIN-rail (size DIN EN 50022).

Application
These SPD serve for the 3rd-stage surge protection of consumer equipment and fulfil IEC class III (EN SPD
type 3 T3 ). Installed at the interface 2-3 acc. to lightning zone conception indicated in IEC 62305 part 1-4
(VDE V 0185 Teil 1.-4).
