Course Objectives
i. To develop students understanding of concepts and
to build theoretical background of students
on Business and Entrepreneurship.
ii. To train the students how to identify and analyze compelling business
opportunities.
iii. To develop students ideas about gathering resources and launching a new
business. That is, how to turn a compelling idea into a real business.
iv. To teach the students about the procedures of enterprise formation. That is, how to
start a new business and how to write a business plan.
v. To familiarize the students with financing the
Entrepreneurial Venture.
vi. To create students understanding on management process , growth and other related issues

of Business.
vii. To develop an understanding of the global economy and
it’s current and potential impact on business
activities in any location.
Conduct of Course
i. Attendance: D.U policy
ii. Class attendance is compulsory for all students.
iii. In exceptional situation excused absences are permitted. "Excused absences" are those absences
incurred by the student's participation in university sponsored activities; inability to attend class for valid
medical reasons; or death in the student's immediate family. However, all these incidents must
supported by documentary evidence. All other absences are considered unexcused.
iv. Every student is responsible for informing
his/her teacher(s) of impending absence(s) from class
when the student has such information aforehand.
Thus, class attendance is paramount.In the
business environment, tardiness is not acceptable.
Therefore,students not present at the beginning of class
are counted as absent.
Activities
Cases/Assignments Develop creative solutions to
i. Computerized literature searches using electronic
databases (e.g.Fortune.com/archives)to
ii. research current techniques of enterprise development
Cases / role playing, group work and critical
thinking.and apply to theoretical concepts as taught in
the
text.
iii. Teaching Strategies Activities will include
role playing, group cases and exercises. Students
are required to participate in class discussion and
this will be considered as extra credit for
the students.

For Batches 19:
A = 90 and above = 4.00
A = 85 89 = 3.67
B+ = 80 – 84 = 3.33
B = 75 79 = 3.00
B = 70 – 74 = 2.67
C+ = 65 69 = 2.33
C = 60 64 = 2.00
F = 00 – 59 = 0.00
I = Incomplete
W = Withdrawal
For Batches from 10 onward:
A+ = 80 and above = 4.00
A = 75 – 79 = 3.75
A = 70 – 74 = 3.50
B+ = 65 – 69 = 3.25
B = 60 – 64 = 3.00
B = 55 – 59 = 2.75
C+ = 50 – 54 = 2.50
C = 45 – 49 = 2.25
D = 40 – 44 = 2.00

Note: a.The conduct of each class the will involve discussion
and analysis of the cases of the chapters
in the prescribed text. Students participation in case analysis and class
discussion is required.
b. Exams.: M.T will cover chapters of the text from as will be assigned
Exam. Dates and time will be announced beforehand with reasonable time at hand.
Final Exam will cover all the topics assigned in the course outline and also other reading materials
supplied along with the things covered in the class lectures in addition.
c. Term paper: Each student will be asked to prepare and submit a term paper on a predetermined
important topic on entrepreneurship development.
Note: In course teaching the above arrangements may be amended at
the discretion of the course instructor.
