CNRS/EM2C 2 PhD positions are available at Laboratoire EM2C Ronan

CentraleSupelec. Research topics include experimental and Vicquelin


numerical investigations into ignition and combustion
instabiltiies in the MICCA annular combustor with spray
injectors.

NTNU 2 PhD positions are available at NTNU to investigate James Dawson


combustion instabilities in a choked annular combustor, Nick Worth
azimuthal forcing, damping methods and ignition in the
presence of strong mean swirl.

CERFACS 2 PhD positions are available at CERFACS in the areas of Thierry Poinsot
numerical simulations and acoustic calculations of Laurent Gicquel
combustion instabilities and the development of low-order
models.

UCAM 2 PhD positions are available at the University of Nondas Mastorakos


Cambridge. One project will focus on xxperimental and Matthew Juniper
numerical investigations into ignition and lean extinction.
The other project on adjoint sensitivity analysis of
thermoacoustics in annular combustors.

TUM 2 PhD positions are available at TUM, one on reduced- Wolfgang Polifke
order state-space model for annular combustors and the
other on time-domain impedance boundary conditions for
LES of annular combustors

TUB 1 PhD position is available at TUB to conduct a fundamental Oliver Paschereit


study of thermoacoustic phenomena in an annular model Jonas Moeck
system with electro-acoustic feedback

Ansaldo 1 PhD position is available at Ansaldo Energia to investigate Mirko Bothien
