Project Brief

Title of Project PULSO FILIPINAS

Description A dance production showcasing the country’s outstanding artists and
dance groups. It would highlight a diverse dance culture with works
ranging from ethnic/folk, contemporary, hip-hop/jazz, ballroom to
classical ballet.
Objectives 1. Feature works by the country’s outstanding artists and dance
groups focusing on their dance expressions that define the
excellence and versatility of Filipino artists;
2. Come up with excellent artistic works that would educate,
enrich, and deepen the appreciation of dance as a form of
expression;
3. Mobilize different sectors of society as partners in the
development and promotion of dance as an effective tool for
broadening audiences.
Proposed Underlying /General theme: Unity in dance to represent Filipino’s
Choreographic impulse for dance as artistic and communal expression
Themes/Concepts Dance numbers/pieces may focus on the ff:

>innovation/creativity
>excellence
>dance as a social tool for expressing and addressing Filipinos’
aspirations, dreams, hopes, challenges, etc
