W ORD CHARGE: 1 John 3:18 (GNT) – “My children, our love should not be just words and talk;
it m ust be true love, which shows itself in action”. Love is not just what we feel or say; it is what
we do. Love is not in confession; love is in demonstration. Demonstrating the love of God to one another
unconditionally is a proof that we are truly born again – 1 John 3:14 (READ).
Love is the basis for all Christian activities. All the commandments are summarized in love - Rom ans 13:8-
11.
Love is two-dimensional: love to God and love to humanity. Many people claim to love God but don't love their
fellow brethren. Our love for God is authenticated by our love for His people.
Love is not a gift; it is a commandment– John 13:34. Loving one another is not optional or occasional as in
the world. Loving one another should be our lifestyle because it is commanded by God.
The world’s perspective of love is rooted in carnality (feeling, em otion, attraction etc.) – Matthew
24:12. This kind of love is usually conditional, self-centered and based upon familiarity and how other people
behave towards us. Love in our context is rooted in the attributes of God. Love is God's nature and God is
love personified – 1 John 4:8,16. When love is on display, God is on display. Ephesians 5:1-2 (READ) -
We love people when we give them what God is willing to give them. Love is the practical display of God’s
nature to humanity.
HOW TO DEMONSTRATE LOVE
1. Present the Commission’s materials as gifts for their spiritual growth.
2. Pay their transport fare to church. 3. Assist them to attend Bible School at the level you can.
3. Pray continually for them and also visit, call or send them text messages when necessary.
4. Help them meet their material needs and even care for their emotional needs in line with God’s Word. 5.
Open your house or office for Cell Fellowship to share same love.
Begin now to demonstrate the love of God.
TESTIMONY: Eluchie Chijioke - I went out for soul winning on the 25th of April 2018 and m et
one Mr. Joseph who was deaf and dum b from birth. I prayed briefly for him and his ears were
opened and his tongue was loosen. Now, M r. Joseph can hear and speak; he im m ediately
