A paired-samples t-Test was conducted to compare student knowledge before receiving

the intervention and student knowledge after receiving the intervention. There was a significant

difference in the scores for student knowledge before receiving the intervention (M=3.107,

SD=1.270) and student knowledge after receiving the intervention (M=5.753, SD=0.555);

t(149)=24.068, p=0.000.

A paired-samples t-Test was conducted to compare student stress-levels before receiving

the intervention and student knowledge after receiving the intervention. There was not a

significant difference in the score for student stress-levels before receiving the intervention

(M=12.547, SD=4.507) and student stress-levels after receiving the intervention (M=12.373,

SD=4.638); t(149)=0.328, p=0.743).

The instructor disaggregated student knowledge during the pre-test survey by whether or

not the student had a sibling that was previously or currently enrolled at Franklin Township

Middle School-West. The researcher initially hypothesized that a student that had a sibling that

was previously or currently enrolled would cause a drastic increase in student knowledge of the
school; however, after conducting mean scores of these two variables, there was only a miniscule

increase in knowledge if a student had a sibling that was previously or is currently enrolled at

Franklin Township Middle School-West.
