DO KINOINGAN
One <1a1,,li{atabir u,as asking God in his heart why He called him
-{-adazanand what that means. God answered him in visions and
dreams. It took him sometirneto understandbut as he reads and
meditateson the Bibie. rvhichcontainsa lot of secretsfrom Him to
mankind, he becamemore enliglrtened.God explainsto him that it
wes not a coincidencethat we are known as Kadazan, which means
"childrenof God" becausethe Lord our God whom we worship in
Jesusnameis the Jehovah God or Kinoingan Minamangun ( Creator
God). He knew us even before we came into existence. He has a
specialpurposefor us as an irrdividualand as a community.
The Bible also recordedhow man was macle, and horv God breathed
into his nostrils. The "breathing in" synbolized God giving His Spirit
into the man. " And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the
ground, and breathedinto iris nostrils the breath of life; and man
becamea iiving being."3

Times about the origin of the term "Kadazan". One statementw-irich
stood out is his definitionof Karlazanas " the good-spirited " human
being. We have no record that he is a bible scholar, and comingfrom a
non-evangelical religiousbackground,there is a remotepossibilitl'that
he had ever fully understood the book of Nehemiah in the Old
Testament. If this was so, we can only concludethat it was the Spirit of
God *'ho inspiredhim to arrive at a conclusion.
This also refersto the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, the Spirit of
Revelation andthe Soiritof God.

Adam idolized his wife *d b."u*. an idolater. He could noi resist the
thoughtand take the chanceof losingEve. In short, he loved Eve more
than he loved God. So he rejectedGod and went along with his rrife
even knowing that she was transgressing the "will" of God and
committing a sin. He was willing to sacrifice everything- including their
immortality and the right to rule the world for this woman. He *'as a
