I would like to apply for the position of ************************. I am a Canadian citizen currently employed
as an English nstructor at ADNOC Technical Institute in Abu Dhabi, UAE where I am teaching pre-
undergraduate university students in a comprehensive, summative-assessed, ESP/EFL program.

In my previous education experiences, I have taught English in Kazakhstan, Oman, South Korea,
Canada, China, Japan, Vietnam and Myanmar. My students have been of all levels, from false-beginner
to advanced as well as all ages. The content taught has ranged from Four Skills (reading, writing,
listening, speaking), TOEIC, TOEFL and IELTS courses, teacher training (TESOL diploma), Business for
International Communication, ESP, and EAP including university courses on pronunciation, phonetics,
listening and others. In addition, I have conducted workshops for educators on using communicative
methodology, strategies for teaching, and using technology in the classroom. Also, I given presentations
especially in regards to Education Technology.

Regarding training and education, I have a Master of Education with a major in Education Technology
from the University of Southern Queensland in Australia in addition to a Bachelor's degree from Simon
Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada. Other qualifications I have obtained include a Graduate
Certificate in Online Instruction and TESOL certification, and others. I also am interested in professional
development and have attended EFL conferences/seminars in Japan, Vietnam, Myanmar, Korea, UAE
and Oman.

Some areas of focus in my studies and research include the extensive use of the Internet and its
applications towards educational goals, using technology to augment instruction methodology, as well as
instruction design and its implementation into learning environments.

My professional goals are to further refine and improve the design and delivery of the teaching/learning
process. In all its facets and nuances, one can always strive to make the teaching experience a more
effective and meaningful one, for students and teachers alike. I believe I could be effective in the position
by applying my IELTS/PET/KET/TOEFL/TOEIC testing experience along with the variety of educational
and practical experiences which I have gained by working in a wide variety of ESL/EFL environments.
