- 1 - Overview

The program interface has the following components:


Buttons to selct a

Button toclose the
application
- 2 - Installing the software:
To install the BE 2k software run the BE 2k setup.exe file that you received.

Click NEXT button


to preoceed with
the installation

Click Cancel button


to quit the setup
Choose a folder and
click NEXT

Click NEXT after


confirming the name of
the folder
Click Install

click YES to install .NET


(framework version 1.1)
BE 2k setup has
completed the installation
(click FINISH to close the
window).

message ONLINE

Node address (1

Note 1:
If the communication port is used by another application it can create
conflicts. Close the application that use the serial port, close the software
and open again the Be2k software.

Consult the section 18.00 of the user Be2k OEM’s manual for a proper guide.
In general it is necessary to use a cable fitted with 9 Poles Female-Female sub-D
connectors. Typical wiring of the cable is (max lenght 20 meters):
PIN 2 >------------< PIN 3
PIN 3 >------------< PIN 2 (PLEASE NOTE: Pin #2 with #3 and Pin #3 with #2)
PIN 5 >------------< PIN 5
The software supports USB-232 converters. In this case you are required to install
the coverter first (ask to your supplier to provde the installation disk)
- 7.0 - About Password & Serial number
Once you are ON-LINE with the Be2k controller, if you want to modify parameters, a
Password and Serial Number are required.

- Default Password: 00000000

- Default Serial Number: 0000000000000

In order to change the Password, select the button [MISCELLANEOUS].


A menu driven functions will allow you to:

- Change Password
- Program the Serial Number
- Set the clock
- Reset the CPU of the BE2K
