RUDIANTO BAHARUDDIN, 2010, Analysis of the Fuel Oil Over Flow at

Purifier on MT. BUMI NUSANTARA, (Supervised by Mr. Alberto Rima and
Mr. Saleh Mamala)

Fuel oil purifier is one of the auxiliary machinery which has vital
importance role to produce clean fuel oil. Clean fuel oil is used to support
the perfect combustion in the main engine operation.

This observation is done MT.BUMI NUSANTARA during sea project,

the ship’s owner is MSI Ship Management Pte., Ltd., Singapore, it is about
thirteen months. The data resources are from primary data which obtained
direct from location of observation and secondary data which obtained
from literature that related with the title of the thesis.

The result of this observation shows that the breakage or

abnormally function at the drain nozzle, causing the main cylinder can’t lift
up to closing, caused by there are many crusts adhere and closing the
hole. That’s why, the maintenance of purifier component in relation to the
guidance book is a right step to increase the work of purifier.
