III. Case Summary

Implementing jeepney modernization program is not easy for the drivers

and operators who would lose thie only means of livelihood for every jeepney in the
country. There are two or three drivers alternating in running specific routes to
support their family and retiring jeepney would taus pose a major employment
problem, but the modernization scheme will succeeds it will help in the fight against
climate change, as it will retire so many old engines that are spewing out great deals
of carbon dioxide that contribute to rising world temperatures, but a more
immediate and welcome change to us will be in improving traffic conditions as
hundred of thousand of old jeepney are replaced by bigger vehicles capable of
transporting more people.

How to convince the drivers and operators to accept the public utility
jeepney modernization program?

V. Statement of the Objective

To come up with clean and cut plans and programs that will strongly
convince the operators & drivers to agree and accept the implementation of the
jeepney modernization program by the end of March 2018.

VI. Assumption and Time Context

ASSUMPTIONS

 Drivers will have the secure monthly salary and benefits

 Passenger as well as the drivers will also be less exposed to air pollution and
other health hazard
 Improve land public transport in the Philippines
 Travel time may decrease due to routes becoming optimized
 Public transportation will be more comfortable, spacious, clean and safe

Based on the above analysis of courses of actions, it shows that ACA1 is the best
course of action in order to implement the modernization jeepney.The researchers conclude
that assisting and helping the operators and driver in pounding loans with longer terms but
in lowest interest rates will be enough for them to accept the program willingly
