World Mission Outreach

To proclaim the Gospel; equip the next generation; mobilize the church throughout the world

October 7, 2010
Shalom Dear Friends and Co-Laborers,

Greetings in the wonderful name of Yeshua. This was a very busy summer. We truly thank God for you.
Without you, we could not do what the Lord has called us to do.

People ask us all the time how we do what we do. The answer is faith in the calling. The Lord has called
us. It's that simple. Both of us loved living in Maui, but the Lord called us to Jerusalem. We are there
because of His Call and love for the people of Israel, both Jews and Gentiles. It is the love of God through
Jesus that compels us to go into the world and preach the good news to all creation. We consider it such
a privilege to serve the Lord, especially from Jerusalem. It doesn't come without challenges. We are
serving the Lord by faith. This means that we trust HIM for everything. The Lord has always provided and
has grown us every step of the way.

Over this past summer, the Lord heard our prayers. The Lord graciously gave us a time of rest and a
scholarship to attend one week of camp at Camp Shoshanah for additional training. We had prayed to
attend this camp for the past several years. His timing is always perfect. We are so thankful for the body
of Christ that so generously gave to make this possible.

Recently we spoke at a church in Hawaii and they had a big world map on the wall with a quote above it
from John Wesley saying, “The World is my Parish”. This really got a hold of our heart. The world is not
so big afterall. Like John Wesley we are encouraged to be faithful in fulfilling the work the Lord has given
us to do. We have been ministering on the road the months of August, September, and the first few
weeks of October in the States, and have been so blessed by all the believers the Lord has brought
alongside us that have shared their homes and resources with us. The Lord is showing us how much we
need each other. God values families. We in Christ are His family. It's beautiful to travel into other cultures
and immediately be taken into their family because we share the same Father. Some of you reading this
may have never traveled abroad and had the opportunity to meet and stay with a sister or brother (in the
Lord) in a foreign land, and for those who haven’t, we want you to know how you connect. You have a
BIG family in the world! A family that needs you. Please keep us in prayer as we travel to Germany and
nd
Romania the last few weeks of October before heading home to Israel November 2 .

Our hearts are so grateful to the Lord for showing us how much we need each other. The chairman of the
board of World Mission Outreach has a son of 32 years old that was just diagnosed with a very
aggressive colon cancer. This is his son whom he loves so much. We immediately sent out prayer

requests on his behalf. We are so humbled by the amount of emails we have received from all over the
world from brothers and sisters praying for John. God is so good. We are reminded that we are in His
hands. His mercy and grace sustain us. James 5:14-16 “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man
avails much.”

The Lord is so faithful. We thank God for you and pray the Lord continues to bless you and use you in
bringing His Gospel to the world. Please know that your prayers and support make a difference.

In His Service,
Henry and Darlene
TESTIMONY TIME: Fruits of the branch of the Vine – John 15
Each month this second page will be dedicated to people who came with WMO to preach the Gospel.

Six years
ago, around
Christmas
time, I had
invited some
friends from
church over
for dinner.
That day,
one of our
guests asked
me, “Would it
be all right if
another
couple joined
us tonight?
They are
missionaries
from Israel,
and they are
leaving
tomorrow.” “Sure,” I replied. That couple was Henry and Darlene. Since that time, they have always
extended an invitation to me to come to Jerusalem and be a part of the work God is doing there. Last
summer, the Lord gave me that opportunity. For three weeks, I was able to walk through the pages of the
Bible in a new and fresh way, as history came alive in Jerusalem and in the Galilee. I saw prayer houses
overlooking different parts of the city where faithful believers could come and intercede for Jerusalem. At
the Temple Institute, one of the priests there told me it was his belief that the future temple would be on
the Temple Mount, where the Dome of the Rock now sits. I saw a huge golden menorah in the midst of
the Jewish Quarter of the City, waiting for its place in that Temple. Throughout the trip, I witnessed many
divine opportunities and spoke with many Jewish believers. We would be somewhere, and the Lord
would open up door and after door for us to share the love of Jesus with Jews, Muslims and others, and
to pray with them, in Jerusalem, and in Nahariya (Northern Israel). One Sunday after church, we were in
the Old City and wandered into one of the stores. Henry and Darlene began speaking with the owner of
the shop, who was a Muslim, and Lisa, Darlene’s daughter [on the right], and I began talking with his son
[in the middle]. During our conversation, he began to open up to us about some difficult family
circumstances. He had been betrayed and offended by a family member he had trusted who had taken
advantage of him. It was causing marriage difficulties, and bringing him into a state of hopelessness.
Lisa and I were able to speak to him about the Lord, and about forgiveness. We prayed with him, and
encouraged him to ask the Lord to reveal Himself. Please pray for him. If you do come to Jerusalem, the
Lord will touch you and change your heart as He did mine. –Allison Demurjian
