Filippo Brunelleschi

Filippo Brunelleschi was one of many designers and inventors responsible for
various methods and techniques through the practice of art. During the time of the
Renaissance, many artists had created and exploited their individual methods to
constructed art, which was intentioned for many causes. Some distributed their methods to
claim reputation, some informed the world, just to be appreciative. Filippo Brunelleschi, in
this scenario, had informed the world to gain a sense of appreciation.
Filippo Brunelleschi, an Italian renaissance architect, whose discovery determined
him responsible for the origins of linear perspective. During his years of constructing the
Florence cathedral’s dome, he had experimented with perspective, in various ways. One of
which was determining a visual’s vanishing point. Many of these experiment’s included
observations, as well as associating the use of individual perspective. For example, according
to Wikipedia, “He is generally well known for developing a technique for linear perspective
in art and for building the dome of the Florence Cathedral. Heavily dependent on mirrors
and geometry” (Wikipedia). Many of Brunelleschi’s diverse experiments, involved his own
perspective. Some of Brunelleschi’s literal experiments were using mirrors to locate the
vanishing point, by observing the reflection of the image through a hole, which was placed
upon the center of his piece.
Through Brunelleschi’s concept of linear perspective, many pieces of modern art
have since been supported by Brunelleschi’s considerable instructions, of how to construct
realism not only with faces, but surrounding layers, that before refrained realistic material.
Present day, either digital, or literal objects of art are provided with a sense of depth and
perspective, which has long been originated by the appreciated Filippo Brunelleschi. Today,
through the many examples, of realism, many of the shown structures in various pieces, are
prime examples, of linear perspective, which concludes the point that linear perspective is
responsible for many of the components in realism today. Through Brunelleschi’s wide
varieties, and examples of linear perspective, the relativity when composing each other is
very similar, which shows the consistency and the appreciation of the concept of linear
perspective.
