the content course otherwise they will be assessed by the Residency Instructor. Reviewer should initial
and confirm the assignment meets criteria. The assignment should be included in the portfolio.

PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES
GSTA Conference- Attended the conference for two days with workshops
focused on 5th grade standards- electricity, cells, states of matter,
constructive/destructive forces
Green Committee Chair- Led committee in campus clean-up campaign,
gardening, COMCAST Cares application, Garden Gala planning
Tellus/Fossil Dig Field Trip-Attended two day professional development
on rocks and minerals; participated in the fossil dig at various
sites
Project WET Certification- Attended an intensive training to become
Project WET certified, participated in investigations about water
pollution, water conservation and the effects on animals in the
life cycle.
Chattahoochee Nature Center- Led a class field trip to explore erosion
and watershed solutions
AdvancED STEM Certification- Participated in year-long projects to plan
for the AdvancED team to observe the school and classroom
STEM activities; submitted photos and documents displaying
evidence of STEM activities in the school
GEMS (Girls Excelling in Math and Science) After School Leader-Met
twice monthly for science, technology, engineering and math
investigations; focused girls in the direction of embracing STEM
and exploring their interests
COMCAST CARES- Assisted writing and submitting the application for our
school to be chosen as a COMCAST cares school; Organized a
Sign-Up Genius for volunteers to sign up to help with the day;
Attended the school event to clean up outdoor nature trail, creek
and watershed area on campus
Garden Gala-Organized activities on the nature trail for the school event
showcasing STEM activities and year-long science units; Attended
the two hour evening event with parents and students guiding
tours and explaining about types of plants and areas of erosion
control that the class has been working on all year
