What are your areas of strength?


• Excellent organization skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize projects
• Adaptable and strong management skills
• Self motivated, initiative with a high level of energy
• Able to inspire, comfort, build self-esteem
• Excellent communication skill (children and parent oriented)
• Ability to listen to children and parents
• Strong patience, especially when dealing with difficult classroom situations

What are your areas in need of growth?


• 3.3 -Beginning special education professionals modify general and specialized
curricula to make them accessible to individuals with exceptionalities.
o Looking at general education lessons and modifying activities to meet the
needs of both the teacher and the student. Co-teaching with a general
education teacher with looking at common core and what could be
modified for a specific student
• 4.1 Beginning special education professionals select and use technically sound
formal and informal assessments that minimize bias
o Having a variety of different assessments to use on students that I am
familiar with.

What are your immediate plans for professional development (within the next 1-2 years)?
Hoping to get my masters in Emotional Impairments or Autism.

What are your future plans for professional development (3-5 years)?
• Look at getting my masters in EI or Autism
