Eagles getting Eagles.

Virginia Johnson (11), right, has

been on the golf team since she was a freshmen. She is
very passionate about the game and continues to do great
things for the team. To the right, she is pictured at
Hedingham Golf Club, playing a match against a player
from the Millbrook team. Virginia is the Women’s Golf
team captain and scored her career best during a match
against Leesville and Sanderson, putting in for a birdie at a
par 4 hole. Sripallavi Yendamuri (10), below, is pictured at
a golf practice. The team practices by hitting balls at the
driving range at Hedingham Golf Club. This allows them
to work on their swing and make it stronger for the next
match. After swinging in the range they head out, packed
into two golf carts, and go onto the course. They proceed
to play a friendly match of golf with each other, laughing
and joking, always having a great time! All of the
members of the golf team are new except for Virginia, but
they all have fun every practice and love spending time
together!

First year players. Above is Ria Verma (9) as she tees off
against two other players from Millbrook and Cardinal
Gibbons golf teams at Heddingham Golf Club. To the left,
Vinisha Velmineti (10), watches as her ball flies in the air
towards the hole at Hedingham Golf Club. She played
against one other player from Millbrook and one player
from Leesville Road High School. This is Vinisha’s first year
on the team. At each match, they play at a different golf
course, which makes seven golf matches at seven different
golf courses. Every time they take the course, Enloe plays
against the schools of the CAP 7: Broughton, Cardinal
Gibbons, Leesville, Millbrook, Sanderson, and Southeast
Raleigh. The amount of players in each match varies every
week, depending on how many players each school sends
to the matches. The goal at each hole is to get less or
equal to the amount of strokes suggested. The amount of
strokes is different at each hole, depending on the difficulty.
