Writing Policies and Guidelines

The following policies and guidelines constitute additional stipulations to Freelance Writing Contract as it
pertains to Writer’s Background, Performance, Work aspects and Scope of Work.

I. Background Check. Writer is hereby made duly aware that background checks may be conducted to
ensure fidelity and integrity of Writer’s academic and/or writing background. As an employer, EzEssay LLC
must comply with local and federal employment regulations, and background checks ensure that EzEssay
LLC is not in violation of said regulations concerning sub-contracted, freelance work from Writer. Writer will
provide information and/or documentation necessary to satisfy any background check requests.
II. Performance. In the best interests of quality and standard of Work submitted to EzEssay LLC, the following
systems of internal measures will be used:
A. A rating system for writing quality based on positive or negative feedback.
B. A demerit point system for submitted academic copy that results in a grade of B- or lower in which
3 demerits warrants removal from the writing assignment queue.
C. A demerit point system for failing to upload papers by deadline dates and times in which 2 demerit
points warrants removal from the writing assignment queue.
D. A demerit point system for deadline extension requested within 36 hours of the deadline in which 3
demerits warrants removal from the writing assignment queue.
E. A demerit point system for Writer cancellations requested within 48 hours of the deadline in which 3
demerits warrants removal from the writing assignment queue.
F. If a work is not submitted by the given deadline without permission or prior notice, any pending
payment will not be processed.
III. Missed Deadlines and Extensions (Penalties and Requirements)
A. Missed Deadlines with incur the following penalties based on the amount of hours over deadline:
1. 1 - 5 hours past deadline: 10% discounted from total assignment payment
2. 6 - 8 hours past deadline: 25% discounted from total assignment payment
3. 9 and more hours past deadline: 40% discounted from total assignment payment
B. Deadline extensions must be requested X amount of hours before deadline with X = number of
pages x 2. For example: If the assignment is 3 pages then the extension must be made 6 hours
before deadline (e.g. 3 pages x 2 = 6 hours)
IV. Work Aspects.
A. Deadline extensions and Writer Cancellations should be made more than 36 hours or 48 hours,
respectively, in advance of the deadline date.
B. Assignment preference and acceptance and place in writing queue is dependent upon Writer
performance. EzEssay LLC’s internal writing quality rating system will be the primary indicator of
Writer performance.
C. Once in the writing queue, Writers will be able to select from a list of assignments to accept for
work or EzEssay LLC’s administrative staff will assign work based on Writer’s area of expertise.
D. Page count vs Pages based on Word count: Writers acknowledge and accept that case prompts
require the satisfaction of page count rather than word count. For example, should the case prompt
requisite be 10 pages, ten (10) actual pages must be submitted and not the amount of pages based
on a proration of word count. Any lacking pages will result in a per page, monetary deduction from
the final balance owed.
E. Prompt Requirements and Staff Notes must be followed in both the spirit and literal intent. Prompt
requirements and Staff Notes comprise the full scope and requirements of the respective
assignment and all items within the Prompt Requirements and Staff Notes must be fulfilled. Missing
to fulfill any requirements in the Prompt Requirements or Staff Notes may result in Demerits and/or
deductions from final balance owed.
V. Scope of Work.

A. Respective Academic Writing: Writers must be able to write in their chosen fields and areas of
study and expertise, experience and/or background.
B. Respective Geographic Considerations: Writers must note that a vast majority of EzEssay LLC
clients are from Asia; and, as such, will have not have the relative experience of the geographical
experience of the Writer. Writer is, therefore, encouraged to write copy from the perspective of the
student and not from personal experience.

Entire Understanding and Acknowledgement. The above represents the entire agreement of the parties in regards
to Writer policies and guidelines, and there are no other promises or conditions in any other agreement whether oral
or written. Terms and conditions of Writing Policies and Guidelines subject to change with notice.
