As anticipated, I decided to cover background knowledge of chemistry by means of a free on line text:
https://saylordotorg.github.io/text_general-chemistry-principles-patterns-and-applications-v1.0/index.html
The material listed below contains 3 main sections. I will organize 3 meetings referring to the 3 section of
the book. These meetings are reserved only to students with no chemistry courses in their background. I
expect no more than 30 students.
The knowledge of this background chemistry will be verified by a test (all the student of the first year)
before the end of the course that will consist of 4 questions (so as we did in the beginning test we had in
the first week). The evaluation of the final test will give to you 0-4 points to be added to the final evaluation
of your exam.
I list below the subject of the 3 sections with the (approximate) dates for meetings and exam.
Section 1
The Atom; Isotopes and Atomic Masses; Introduction to the Periodic Table

I suggest also to have a look to the online course covering more general aspect of chemistry.
