Jesus Christ

The Beginning Of Creation - The Alpha and Omega

It amazes me how few Christians realize that Jesus existed before

the creation of the universe. Jesus was the first and last thing that
God The Father made. Jesus was the beginning of the creation of
God.

Revelation 3:14 (Jesus) the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the
beginning of the creation of God;

Jesus was with God before all creation existed. Proverbs the eighth
chapter gives us a perfect description of the relationship between
the Father and the Son.

Proverbs 8:22-30 ¶ The LORD possessed me in the beginning of

his way, before his works of old.
23 I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the
earth was.
24 When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there
were no fountains abounding with water.
25 Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I
brought forth:
26 While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the
highest part of the dust of the world.
27 When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a
compass upon the face of the depth:
28 When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened
the fountains of the deep:
29 When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not
pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the
earth:
30 Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was
daily his delight, rejoicing always before him;
As written in Proverbs eight, ‘When he (God) prepared the heaven
I (Jesus) was there.’ Some would say this is speaking of wisdom
not Jesus. The apostle Paul instructed that Jesus is the wisdom of
God. Wisdom is not just some abstract quality. Jesus Christ is the
personification of wisdom, in other words Jesus is the wisdom of
God. The fact that Jesus never wrote a book nor traveled far yet his
sayings were so profound that they changed the fabric of the
western world attests to his wisdom.

1 Corinthians 1:24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and
Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

Christ is the wisdom and power of God. Christ is the wisdom that
we read about in Proverbs the eighth chapter. So far we’ve read
that Jesus is the ‘, the beginning of the creation of God’ and
‘When he (God) prepared the heavens, I (Jesus) was there’. Let’s
look at some more scriptures that confirm this.

John 1:1-3 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with
God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him (Jesus the Word
a.k.a. Wisdom) was not any thing made that was made.

This is another revealing scripture. The Word ‘was with God’, ‘the
same was in the beginning with God’. It could not be more evident.
In verse three it says ‘all things were made by him’ the Word.
‘And without him (Jesus) was not anything made that was made’.
John goes on to state, who the Word is, in verse fourteen of the
first chapter of the gospel of John.

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us,
(and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the
Father,) full of grace and truth.
The Word was made flesh in the person of Jesus. Notice that Jesus
is the ONLY begotten of the Father. Only means only, Only
begotten means, ‘single of its kind’. Let’s look at another scripture.

Hebrews 1:1-8 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners

spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath
appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image
of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power,
when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right
hand of the Majesty on high;
4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by
inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my
Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a
Father, and he shall be to me a Son?
6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world,
he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.

This is another revealing scripture. Read what I’ve highlighted in

bold italic. ‘God who by his Son made the worlds’. Remember
what John 1:3 said? ‘All things were made by him (Jesus); and
without him was not any thing made that was made.’ So God the
Father made Jesus then Jesus at the instruction of his Father
created all things. Creation is a Father & Son project. Notice verse
four says, ‘Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath
by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.’

Hebrews the first chapter also tells us that Jesus is the express
image of His (God the Fathers) person.
This is why when Jesus, was asked by his disciple Philip, ‘show us
the Father’, Jesus replies ‘he that hath seen me hath seen the
Father’ (Jn 14:9). Jesus is the exact image of his Father.
Hebrews chapter one also tells us that Jesus was ‘made better than
the angels’. Jesus is ‘the firstbegotten’, or in other words the
beginning of the creation of God. See the connections?

So far we’ve read that Jesus is, ‘ the beginning of the creation of
God’ (Rev 3:14). ‘When he (God) prepared the heavens, I
(wisdom aka Jesus) was there’ (Pr 8). ‘The Word was with God,
The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made
by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made’
(Jn 1:2&3). Jesus is ‘the only begotten of the Father’ (Jn 1:14).
‘By his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom
also he made the worlds (Heb 1:2).

John 17:24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me,
be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou
hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the
world.

The phrase ‘for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the

world’ echoes the same thought that we read in the eighth chapter
of Proverbs.

Isaiah 43:10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant

whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and
understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed,
neither shall there be after me.

‘Before me there was no God formed’, this has confounded

scholars thru the ages, God the Father ‘formed’ God the Son.

Proverbs 30:4 Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended?

who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters
in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth?
what is his name, and what is his son’s name, if thou canst tell?
Who hath established the ends of the earth? And what is His son’s
name?

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and
the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be
called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting
Father, The Prince of Peace.

The Son’s name is ‘The mighty God’.

Revelation 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the

ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to
come, the Almighty.

Jesus here is called the Almighty.

Revelation 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the

end, the first and the last.

This scripture has duel applications. Jesus is the first and last
‘thing’ the Father made or ‘formed’. The second implication is that
Jesus Christ is the beginning and the end of all history, as we know
it. The Alpha and The Omega. Amen.
