ORDINANCE NO.

5121 S62
PROHIBITING THE CARRYING OF BOLOS, KNIVES, ICE PICKS, AXES,
HATCHES, OR OTHER DEADLY BLADED AND/OR POINTED WEAPONS IN
ANY MARKET PLACE, STORE, STALL, SLAUGHTER HOUSE, CAFÉ OR
RESTAURANTS AT ANY TIME AND, PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR
VIOLATION THEREOF.

Introduced by the Committee on Public Safety

Be it ordained by the Council of Quezon City in session assembled:

Section I. It shall be unlawful for any person, to carry in his


person or have in his possession and under his control, any deadly
weapon or object whether bladed, pointed or blunt, such as bolo, ice
pick, knife, axe, hatchet, club or other weapons or objects in any
public place in Quezon City at anytime.

Section 2. The provisions of Section I hereof shall not apply to


persons employed or working as butcher, cook, laborer, meat or fish
vendor and to hired helpers, while engaged or in the performance of
their work, calling or employment wherein the bladed, pointed or blunt
weapons or objects enumerated above is used, needed or required,
provided however, that said persons are in the places of their
respective calling or employment.

Section 3. Any violation of the provisions of this Ordinance


shall be punished by a fine of not more than Two Hundred Pesos
(P200.00) or an imprisonment of not more than six (6) months, or by
both such fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the Court.

Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect on its approval.
