Online Examination System For Android

Abstract:

This Android application (stand alone too), where one can set the question for
different technology i.e. Android, Java etc and one can register them self for test as
a student, he can choose the choice of technology (Android, Java), and
simultaneously he can get the exam result. After submit or End of the Test the form
will be submitted and evaluated. Scores will be given to the user on his request. The
question and answers can be text or pictures or audios or even videos. Initial plan is
to develop a objective type text based question and answer. The main programming
language is android/Java database as a sqlite3.

Online Examination System is used for conducting online objective test, the test
will be customized such that system will have automated checking of answers based
on the user interaction. This project helps the faculties to create their own test based
on the subject. This also helps the instruction to perform online quiz, test paper such
that the academic performance of the students can be increased and can take the
feedback from both students and parents.

Exam System is very useful for Educational Institute to prepare an exam, safe the
time that will take to check the paper and prepare mark sheets. It will help the
Institute to testing of students and develop their skills. But the disadvantages for
this system, it takes a lot of times when you prepare the exam at the first time for
usage. And we are needs number of computers with the same number of students.

Existing System:

 Once candidate chose the appropriate technology i.e. Android or Java, or

C/C++ he can start the test. By default Android will be selected in Android
apps will be selected in android apps. Once candidate click on start button,
s/he will navigate to Test Page Note – first question is displaying, when
candidate click on next button (right side arrow) s/he will see the next
question, if s/he click the on previous button (left side arrow) s/he will see the
previous question and s/he can change the answer.
 Once candidate hits the 30 question, no more questions will display. If
candidate consumes 30 minute the test will end automatically and candidate
can see the result same time.

Proposed System:

In order to overcome existing system problems new system is developed using this
system any system can be easily searched with better security features.

a. Login – page will come and after validation of Admin ID & Password, admin
will navigate to the Admin Dashboard Page. (The Content of Admin Dashboard yet
to decide). Here Admin can change the password to tap on change password tab.
s/he can edit the profile to tap on Edit profile tab.
b. When admin tap on Candidate Details tab, admin will view the candidate details
one-by-one.
c. When admin tap on Delete candidate, admin will able to delete the particular
candidate profile from the database. Once click on Question View button s/he will
navigate to Question View page
IMPLEMENTATION
Implementation is the stage of the project when the theoretical design is turned out
into a working system. Thus it can be considered to be the most critical stage in
achieving a successful new system and in giving the user, confidence that the new
system will work and be effective.
The implementation stage involves careful planning, investigation of the existing
system and it’s constraints on implementation, designing of methods to achieve
changeover and evaluation of changeover methods.

MODULE DESCRIPTION

Implementation Modules:

MODULES:

1. User Module

 The candidate will logon to the software and take his examination. He
can also check his previous examinations marks and his details.
 The candidate will get result immediately after the completion of the
examination.

2. Administrator Module
  The administrator collects all the results after successful
completion of the examination and sends to the head quarters as
and when required.
 The database is prepared & loaded into the page. Selection for
examination can be done language wise by the examiner. The
results will be displayed immediately after completion of the
examination.
3. Local Support Module

 When click on Local Support

 Click on Sign up
 After proper client side validation of unique email, Candidate name and
validation of Password and confirm password Candidate can able to submit
the form. When click on DOB button, the calendar will appear like below

 After all validation, when Candidate click on “Submit Button” Candidate
navigate to point
 When click on Sign-in

a. After validation of Candidate name and password, Candidate navigate to

Candidate Dashboard page
b. From here, candidate can change password, profile
c. When candidate click on Test, Test Main selection page will appear.

When admin click on admin button on Home Page

e. Admin can view the question set by him, on tap on “View Question” , first screen
will be the selection, question from which technology s/he want to view like
Android, Java, C/C++

Once click on Question View button s/he will navigate to Question View page

The features that are available to the Administrator are:

 The administrator has the full fledged rights over the OES.
 Can create/delete an account.
 Can view the accounts.
 Can change the password.
 Can hide any kind of features from the both of users.
 Insert/delete/edit the information of available on OES.
 Can access all the accounts of the faculty members/students.
 The features available to the Students are:

 Can view the different categories of Test available in their account.

 Can change password.
 Can view the various reading material.
 Can view and modify its profile but can modify it to some limited
range.
