B. Evaluation of the training and overall learning environment

As what we have expected before the internship started—most companies would not allow

trainees to handle their system. We were tasked to do simple administrative undertakings such as

simple filing, photocopying and compiling documents to assist the accounting department in

accomplishing their duties.

During the internship period in the Accounting Department of HRC Prime Holdings, I had

remarkable opportunities to work as an actual employee in a dynamic, hospitable and challenging

environment with supportive advisors and enthusiastic workmates. The different people working

at HRC welcomed us, “trainees”, to their company whole-heartedly. They are very courteous and

attentive whenever we needed assistance or have any questions regarding our work. Overall, the

working environment was really great and edifying.

C. Evaluation of the internship experience

My internship at HRC Prime Holdings gives me the opportunity to work hands on in a

professional working environment. Working at the accounting department of HRC Prime Holdings,

it was necessary for me to interact with various personalities and working styles of many different

people such as the official staff, co-interns, bosses, supervisors—all from whom I learned a great

deal of things. My internship helped me improve on my communication skills and work ethic. By

interacting with professionals, I gained new connections and learned how to communicate in a

corporate environment. In general, the internship experience is fairly positive and I can say that it

is instrumental to my adaptation to the professional environment right after I finish college.

D. How well the program prepared me for the Internship

My undergraduate education from Kingfisher School of Business and Finance has

exceptionally prepared me for a smooth transition from school to the internship environment by

providing me with the skills necessary to fulfill my roles as an accounting intern at HRC Prime

Holdings. HRC is a privately owned company hence their accounting department produces

financial data that is mostly for internal and managerial use. Although I seldom do major

accounting tasks, the fundamental concepts relating to business management and managerial

accounting that the BSA program of Kingfisher School of Business and Finance has brought upon
me allows me to easily understand the processes and inner-workings of the company’s accounting

system whenever I observe our supervisors.

E. Recommendations

My internship experience is fairly good. My only recommendation is for the company to

expose their accounting interns to more actual accounting work so they gain more hands on

experience. I make no additional recommendations for the BAP program.

F. Number of hours worked

This report contains 200 hours of work at HRC PrimeHoldings for the evidence my Daily

Time Record was attached with my report.
