Features and Main notices concerning FANUC Series 0i Mate-D (Package 5)

1. Summary
The package 5 was newly added to the package of FANUC Series 0i Mate-D. The specification of the
package 5 is limited compared with the conventional package 3. Please refer to a specification table
separately for details.

2. Features
Package 5 is using new CNC configuration (Basic unit C), and there are the following features.
 Higher performance achieved by the enhanced processing capacity of the CNC
 LED type LCD display (Mercury Free)
Long-lived, High reliability, Low power consumption
Environment-friendly (Mercury Free)
 LCD mounted type CNC with less depth
Down size (Depth to 60mm from 70mm)
It is possible to design the operator panel cabinet compactly.
 Replacing fan unit and battery
Fan unit : monitoring fan speed (Preventive maintenance)
Fan unit and Battery : common specification with 30i-B
 Constitution change (PCB)
The three printed circuit boards (Main board, Axial card, Power supply) are unified to
one Main board.
It is easy for replacement parts to specify at the time of maintenance, and
maintainability is improved.
3. Main notices
 The performance speed of various functions is increased by the enhanced processing
capacity of the CNC. Please actually confirm the movement of the machine in MTB.
 Main board is two kinds, the Main board C6U with analog spindle interface, and the Main
board C7U without analog spindle interface.
 The interfaces of High-speed skip (HDI) and the 2nd channel of RS-232-C are not available.
 In the case of display unit with touch-panel, the 1st channel of RS-232-C cannot be used
with a reader puncher interface etc.
 There is change to Package specification numbers.
 8.4-inch color LCD/MDI is only with a USB interface.
 Main board is only with Embedded Ethernet.
 Axial card is unnecessary, because Main board can control to a maximum of 5 servo motors.
It is necessary to specify the number of servo motor control, according to the number of the
servo motors.
 In case of Basic unit C, the following servo amplifiers are not available.
Alpha amplifier : A06B-6114-H***, A06B-6124-H***
Beta amplifier : A06B-6136-H***, A06B-6134-H***
And Pulse Distribution Module (A06B-6135-H001) also is not available.
 There is change about the setting of some servo parameters.
 There is change to the service parts, such as fan units and a battery.
 Please use I/O applied for I/O Link i as following I/O.
But these unit can not be connected with I/O Link i mode in case of 0i/0i Mate-D,
Interface is I/O Link mode only.
- I/O Unit-Model A
- I/O unit for power magnetic cabinet
- I/O module for operator's panel
- I/O module for connector panel (included Type-2)
When the above-mentioned I/O cannot be used for certain reasons, the current I/O can also
be used conventionally.
The current I/O equivalent to the I/O unit for power magnetic cabinet is an I/O unit for 0i.
