1000 word evaluation outline to help you structure the piece.

You will need to refer to

• Peer and self assessment forms, you should have these

• Audience feedback, if you did any

1. Introduction.
Describe the original task (what you were asked to do) briefly, but stating the main points.
What you are going to talk about? Review of the whole process from conception (beginning) to Commented [SC1]:
end.
The task we were set was a time based “ultimatum” which means that a group of good guys had
to stop a bomb going off from the team of “bad guys.

2. Describe your role.

What did you do? What were your main responsibilities? How did your team decide this?
How did you plan?
Did the plan change? If so why?
Did any changes affect the end product? Made is better/worse?
How effective was your contribution to the product?

I worked independently so I had all the responsibilities of my route of this project meaning I had to
work on all the planning, productions, ideas and everything on my own. I planned using mind
maps to come up with ideas and chose and wrote up about my final chosen idea after wards.
The plan DID change due to the fact of assessing the points of the game route and graphics and I
chose the graphics as I felt it would suit my skill set best. I feel my contribution was very strong
and very affective into my final projects.
3. What have you learned?
Skills – technical/scheduling
Knowledge
Production issues
Organisation?
Personal/team work
What are you particularly proud of/went well?
What didn’t go so well? How would I address that in the future?

I have learnt many skills over this course and some of them include use of photo shop,
communication, website editing and editing skills that I had no knowledge of beforehand. With this
project I have been very organised and have had everything put in its correct place for when I
need them. I am very proud with how my final product turned out especially my character posters
and my website takeovers because it was my first time trying to create these and for a first try I
feel that I worked very effectively and applied my learnt skills and knowledge to create something
WORTH being proud of. I did however change from the games route into the graphical side
because it suited my skill level best and I felt I could really excel in this product thanks to this
route that I changed to.

4. Where do I go next?
Go back to your production diary and identify-
• Skills you would like to improve/work on
• Skills you need to acquire
• How has your contribution helped the production

I would like to improve on my researching skills and if I could learn skills towards editing work
better I would feel that I could push forward confidently in my work.
5. Does the finished product…
• Meet the agreed requirements and parameters, (limits/restrictions) of the task?
• What would I do next time because of the above?

I feel that my final product does meet the requirements and parameters set of the task with the
chosen route I took and even from feedback I have been given all had made comments on how
they liked my art style and production and now I feel I need to improve on my research if I was to
try and do this project again.
