LEARNING STANDARD : 4.3.1 : Use capital letters and full stops appropriately in
guided writing at sentence level
4.2.5 : connect words and phrases using basic coordinating
conjunctions
LEARNING OBJECTIVE : By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to rearrange the
words and write sentences about the clothes for the given
pictures use capital letters and full stops.
By the end of the lesson, the pupils will be able to write 3/5
sentences correctly using substitute table.
CROSS CURRICULAR ELEMENTS : Language
ACTIVITIES : i. PRE-LESSON : Task 6: Finger Writing
ii. LESSON : 1. Have pupils stand in a circle. Give each pupil a word
DEVELOPMENT card or picture card. Ask pupils to find friend to match
their picture cards with correct word card. They
should stand in a line to match the word with the
picture. (DS3ii: Remember and share)
2. Play a game to elicit the name of clothes (Pre-lesson
task 12: Pass it on) leave the flashcards on the board.
3. Teacher shows a picture of a boy and asks them to tell
what the boy is wearing.
4. Teacher guides the pupils to make correct sentence
with capital letters and full stop.
5. Pupils rearrange the word stripes to make a correct
sentence in the group. One of them will read aloud
the sentence.
6. Teacher will takes back the word stripes while the
pupils need to write the sentence again on a
whiteboard.
7. Ask pupils to check their partner’s writing.
8. Hand out worksheet to pupils. They should write
sentences based on pictures by using substitute table.
9. Teacher discusses the answers with the pupils. While
pupils check their friend written work. (DS 7:
