PRANA MEDITATION

I have been practicing the prana meditation given to me by Tahuti-An.

Practice :

1. Breath in 4 seconds : imagining Yod, a rush of air

2. Hold breath 4 seconds : imagining He, incense smoke or fire
3. Breath out 4 seconds : imagining Vau, water showering yourself
4. Hold it 4 seconds : imagining He Final, black dirt showering

This 4 seconds is merely a guideline. Many people experimented with different time intervals.
I was doing a 10 sec time interval on the fourfold prana meditation when I received new insights.

Just for the record, I had that day been practicing how to write the name of ‘Thoth’ in hieroglyphs.

TRADITIONAL TREE OF LIFE

4 WORLDS ON THE TREE OF LIFE

The four worlds are well known. Here is a quick overview.

You will notice that these diagrams are slightly different from the ones you usually find.

Where as you will usually find :

Atziluth Kether & Chokma & Binah

Bri’ah Da’ath & Gedulah & Geburah & Tiphareth
Yetzirah Netzach & Hod & Yesod
Assiag Malkuth

You see that I here included 4 sephiroth to each ‘world’. Each world is characterized by 2 opposite forces who
are brought into equilibrium, a source, and an output.

Atziluth and Bri’ah

OVERVIEW TREE OF LIFE

This overview is drawn from my interpretations of ‘The Mystical Qabalah’ – Dione Fortune. She was the first to
succeed in delivering me such an overview.

This might be simplistic but it works for me.

[Considering the spheres as conditions]

1. Kether : This is the first point where negative existence is pushed into existence.
2. Chokmah : The existence in motion.
3. Binah : The stability of the existence to be found when the existence meets itself (Einstein).
[Because a state of stability implies that sooner or later this will break up again,
Death is assigned to Binah]
4. Gedulah : Grouped stability grouped by the law of attraction
5. Gedurah : Breaking up of the grouped stability
6. Tiphareth : Dividing of the grouped stability like a light shining through a prisma
7. Netzach : Divided forces.
8. Hod : Created forms to fit the forces
9. Yesod : Different forms filled with forces.
10. Malkuth: Physical manifestation of Yesod.

REVEALING THOUGHTS

Comparing the four worlds with the fourfold meditation.

Breath in : Atziluth Archetypal world

Hold breath : Bri’ah Formative world
Breath out : Yetzirah Astral world
Hold : Malkuth Physical world

Breath in
Kether is defined as point where negative existence is pushed into existence. Also defined as a pressure point.
When we open our longs the pressure of the air fills our lungs with air.
1. ‘air’ is pushed in the lungs by means of pressure
2. ‘air’ is moving from macrocosmos into microcosmos
3. ‘air’ particles

Hold Breath
We use our throat to hold in the air. Since Da’ath is sometimes referred to as throat we don’t have to look far.
With the closing of the throat the ‘air’ is sealed of the exterior. The body is fully aware of the content. This is
why in Da’ath the first signs of consciousness appear. Da’ath is also known as ‘knowledge’.

4. ‘life force’ is extracted [grouped] from the ‘air’ [law of attraction?]

5. ‘air’ particles are broken down.

Breath Out
6. After transmutation [Tiph] we breath out transmutated ‘air’.
[Tranmutation from ‘air’ into multiple other particles]
[Transmutated ‘air’ is flowing from microcosmos into macrocosmos]

7&8&9. Not clear yet

Hold

10. Transmuted ‘air’ is manifested in macrocosmos

TIPHARETH AS NEW KETHER

Based on 2 concepts :

1. ‘As above so below’

‘Air’ flowing from Macrocosmos into Microcosmos
‘Air’ flowing from Microcosmos into Macrocosmos
2. Concidering the tetragramaton Y H V H

fig. 6 : Macro – microcosmos process

The prana meditation sequence shows that Tiphareth is a turning point! This leads to the following diagram

fig. 7 : Tiphareth as turning point

The traditional diagram should not be read from top to bottom. One should consider Tiphareth as a turning
point back ‘upwards’. From Tiphareth ‘creation’ follows the same way back.
fig. 8. Tiphareth as new Kether illustrated.

From the above diagram MANY conclusions can be drawn.

The sephiroth 8’ & 7’ are never shown on a traditional tree. But with some logic we can learn about their
nature.

Comparing with the left and middle diagram

8’ related to Gedulah (4) grouping and maintaining of Da’ath (*)
[Binah with ‘knowledge or consciousness’]
7’ related to Geburah (5) breaking down of Gedulah (4) and Binah (3) back into Chokmah (2)

8’ and 7’ are found in the formative world

8’ = grouping and maintaining of Yesod
7’ = breaking down of 8’ and Hod

The left diagram : Microcosmos

In Da’ath we find consciousness [knowledge of the archetypal world].
Yesod[Micro] is related to Da’ath[Macro].
In Yesod we find knowledge about our archetypal world. It is also called ‘the foundation’ cause we have to
work from this point

Our formative world is contained of 8’ and 7’. If these 2 are in equilibrium our creations are manifested.
Malkuth[Micro] is related to Tiphareth[Macro]. If 8’ and 7’ are equally balanced our ‘creations’ will be formed
into the physical world!

Thoughts and Emotions

The equilibrium of our thoughts and emotions is Yesod. Consciousness of Microcosmos is first found here. [See
relation with Da’ath[macro]].

8’ = Grouping and maintaining of Thoughts. Higher Intellectual Center [Fourth way]?

7’ = Breaking up of Thoughts. Back into Emotions Higher Emotional Center [Fourth way]?
THE POWER OF SPEECH

As the meditation helps wonderfully in understanding the process of creation. We might as well use the
experience to examine how the power of speech might work.

Breathing out
What might possibly be uttered when breathing out?
right, speech

Hermetic principle
‘Nothing rests; everything moves; everything vibrates’
It is known that with the use of words people can cause other people to cry, get angry, be happy, feel good.

By controlling speech we can change the vibration of our ‘archetypal world’ [breathing out]

THE POWER OF WRITING GLYPHS

So we continue to examine the possibility of attaining magical work by scribehood.

‘As above so below’

We are trying to examine what the other 3 worlds in this process might look like.
Breath in. What is the next step? We close our throat enclosing the ‘air’
This might mean that we need some kind of vessel to contain our ‘breath’.

Possible examples of ‘vessels’ : Amulets & talismans

By writing down hieroglyphs we create a vessel for our thoughts. Reading these glyphs causes these thoughts
to appear in Yesod[Micro].

“O thoth I am your pallette,I have brought you your ink jar”

breathing in > dipping the pen in the ink-jar

holding breath > writing glyphs
breathing out > view your glyphs
holding > recite
