What is Desuperheater?
Desuperheater Operation:
Discharge
Compressor Type
Temperature
Reciprocating 85 to 110℃
Discharge
Compressor Type
Temperature
While the condensing of the refrigerant gas in the condenser, the total
amount heat contained in this high Temperature or high pressure
ammonia/Freon gas gets wasted to the outside atmosphere.
This superheat of the gas is part of the total heat content of the working
gas, has a generous heat potential provided that the same is recovered
efficiently and is optimized appropriately for energy saving
Desuperheater Design:
Double Walled "Tube in Tube ", vented, counter stream heat exchanger.
Vent tube having serrations on internal & external surfaces to avoid cross
contamination of refrigerants and water/ fluid. Each tube has a tube inside
that permits water/ fluid to go in an opposite direction.

Desuperheater Installation:
The Desuperheater Water Heater is introduced before the condenser and the
oil separator. The refrigerant goes through the arrangement of tubes in the
Desuperheater Water Heater before entering the condenser. Typically the
Desuperheater Water heater is architecture considering the hot water needs
for the different processes. At the point when necessities of high
temperature water and refrigeration are not synchronous, a “Recirculation”
sort of framework is given wherein boiling water is produced, stored & kept
up in an closed tank. This hot water at that point can be used as and when
required.
Power utilization and Wear and tear in Fuel Pump, Combustion Air Fan
& Water pump
Consumption of Fuel through Burners and so on.
Frequent Scaling of tubes
The COP of the Refrigeration Plant will improve. This subsequently
extends:
Lesser running hours of the refrigeration plant for the given load
Increased life, lesser Wear & tear of compressor / motor
Additional sparing in Electricity
