Works like a charm. I followed these instruction given below..

BUT in the last step

where you have to license check the product, I put in the path to the folder where
I had saved the file and license file. :) yay !!! Apparently I can't use triangular
braces. 1) open furius, browse and select iso file, then click loop, click sha,
click checksum 2) right click folder , open in terminal, then in terminal type sudo
./install The GUI installer should open. Follow the instructions. When you get to
the licensing part put the key contained in /crack/install.txt for whatever option
you chose(38699-60149-36808-21840-05491). Select the offline version when prompted.
MATLAB will now be installed somewhere. The default is /usr/local/MATLAB/R2012a.
I'll assume you used the default. 5)Run this command in terminal, then wait cd
/usr/local/MATLAB/R2012a/bin 6)then run this comand in terminal,wait sudo ./matlab
7) Find the lic_standalone.dat and select it (paste the path of file in browse
space)This should complete the install. To run:
/usr/local/MATLAB/R2012a/bin/./matlab

if error of lib comes then paste following in terminal and press enter
(http://www.mathworks.in/support/solutions/en/data/1-F68FSA/index.html?solution=1-
F68FSA)
sudo ln -s /lib/i386-linux-gnu/libc.so.6 /lib/libc.so.6

for desktoperrormessage log type following in terminal

sudo chmod a+w -R ~/.matlab

then use ubuntu software centre to make it behave like in a debian language

"if error of path comes, then run following commands"

cd /usr/local/bin/

sudo ln -s /usr/local/MATLAB/R2012a/bin/matlab matlab

and try again from software centre
