Gender impacts our society
Gender is inequality in our society. Female and male play two different roles, both of
them was act two different personal characters. They have to fit into the roles and play who
they are. Sex and biology like the male require them of their masculinity to show how strong
they are like alcohol, muscle, power, and passion and have a good job. So, the female was
emotional, make up, high heels, long hairs and stayed home after married that was more
outside defined them. Those of the information shows how we look at in our social for the
Gender mean. Based on the readings, people use different mindsets to show what it is gender.
When we born, our parents tell us who we are. Gender is should be equal in our society.
Female and male are two types of gender and two different roles. In our world, we
create between female and male. So, gender shows how people when they think sex
relationship. Gender and humanity always impact our society. Humanity is progress towards
gender equality, but gender is towards to the sex and can't separate them out. Our parents
Based on the six readings, I would like to choose from the articles by Gail Dines,
Emily W. Kane and Michael Kimmel. Those have the similar told how the men or boys and
women in the different views form society. It could come from a younger age, our parents
controlled us what kind of toys we should play and shouldn’t play. Also, when a boy grows up
and becomes a man need to show out the masculinity for alcohol. For women, they want to be

looking like femininity and the strongest image of sexuality with the porn culture. Our society
In the article, Gail Dines, “Visible or Invisible: Growing Up Female in Porn Culture”
(2011) is the magazine to show the women how to using porn sex, change their ideas like lose
weight could let the women felt their body skinny, sext, and hot. They will dress up more
femininity try to buy good clothes, skincare, and makeup. The porn culture gives the men and
women with highly image of the sex. So, that's why the magazine will affect how we looks at
the sex and gender. Women are less right to control the men, so in the article tell us when men
who do something bad and women still accept it. A big role for the women is conformity
when a woman who look beautiful, sexy, hot or even skinny would have chances to find their
sex partner. Most of the women want to lose weight and look at the magazines to customer
them up to hide themselves. So, it was a cheap way to help them look good and customer their
favorite star. Also, the women should play their role in the home. After they become a
housewife to take care of children and husband, sometimes women's whole life will be around
at home. The author wants us to know how the public look at the sex and women mindsets of
their self what it is. Also, it is very close to our recent culture the idea of the porn culture
affects the women. For now, our life couldn’t leave always from the social media that was the
ways affect how the women thinks of the sexuality and femininity.
In another article, Emily W. Kane “No Way My Boys Going to Be Like That”:
Parents’ Responses to Children’s gender Non Purity” (2012) is the parents to make decide for
their children what kind of toys and action into gender. One of the examples from white low
income family a heterosexual mother, she worried about her children wears an apron and play
a baby doll. This mother thinks that playing doll is usually for the girl and want her son to
play the teacups. Another example, from Asian American middle class a heterosexual father

when he and his son go to the cloth stores. He will always try to stay with the Powderpuff
girls, never wear a pink shirt and much have to wear a blue shirt. It makes the children to
know how they think our society, what the girl and boy like. If the boy who play doll or wears
a dress, their parents hate their children doing that. Also, when they are dancing or doing
some action like a girl. Their parents will think their children will become gay. Most of the
parents want the boy to have masculinity act like a man can’t cry at all. From the whole upper
middle class a heterosexual father, He thinks that it was their failure as a father when his son
become a gay. Those parents will get their children for the high pressure when their sons
become a gay and hide it up. Also, if their children not inserting play doll and want to pay
with another boy that is a message to tell their son like a boy not interesting girls. Those
parents want their children to keep always from femininity and should act like a man. The
author wants us to open mind for the gender and not old mindsets about what is a boy or girl
should be act like. The gender performance that gives homosexuality is not the only way to
Last article, Michael Kimmel “The Rites of Almost-Men: Binge Drinking, Fraternity
Hazing, and the Elephant Walk” (2009) is about the men need to show out their masculinity in
their life. For the example, from a college student Nick when he was turning 21. On his
birthday party go to the bar and have to drink more he can. That should show our society like
the trash when doing that spends the time to drinking. Also, drinking is wasted time, money,
and dangerous like car assistant, so it was no actually fun for that. When congress passes the
Uniform Drinking Age Act, college students who are turning 21 on their birthday party have
to drink. But, some of like 38% will drink before 21. The big problem in the college is hazing
around the campus, when to join a club or doing something like not drink others will hazing.
Also, it points out the masculinity. One of the important things to show out strong is to drink

in the college life. That know other students will adore and know you is masculinity. When in
a college life, it need to join a fraternity that can have a full college experience. The author
wants us to know how those alcohol is very bad for us and that's not the only ways to show
masculinity. We don’t need to pressure to join something that don’t like it.
In those three articles, the main common idea is people looks at gender and sex have
different views. In our society, the parent’s wants their children need to be clearly show
masculinity and feminine. The magazines can teach women the porn culture about sex and
they followed what it did. College students will drink when they truing 21, even for that
showed their masculinity. That would let others think we should follow this rule how to act
like a woman or a man. The authors want us to open the mindset need to think more than one
way. The different views from the three articles: parents think their children can’t be gay and
their sons can’t be femininity, the women they need to be confidence who they are and outside
their body is not the only way to show, drinking and hazing something that will be in the
college and can do something else look masculinity not be drinking. Parents, college students,
women, and men they all have different views, expect the children. We still keep those mind
sex is a big problem, because many of the children will feel less confident and gender become
long hair and I can't cut short hair style. My mom, she thinks short hair is related to the boy.
She wants me to look more feminine with the long hair. That could be from the article Emily
W. Kane “No Way My Boys Going to Be Like That” :Parents’ Responses to Children’s
gender Non Purity” (2012) is the similarity form those parents how to look at their children.
Our parents like to decide us what we going to do and not to do. Another experience, when in
China that most of the people need to drink in social engagement. If you don't drink people
Li5
will think you're not appearing. It was similar form the Michael Kimmel’s article how the
In short, gender and sex can have many defined in our society. But, that was not the only
thing to define who you are or who you will become in the future a male or female. Our parents
can’t design who we are. Social create how the women and men should be act like and follow
their own roles. So, both genders have their own role play in our society that was not equal need
to be change.
