3rd Grade - Plural Nouns

TEKS: 11.D.III Composition. Students will use standard English conventions, including:
singular and plural nouns.

Objective: The students will identify and sort plural nouns into -s, -es, and -ies groups at 75%
accuracy.

Materials: -plural noun sort -plural noun recording sheet -pencils

-anchor chart -paper -markers

Activity Procedures
Discussion Ask students:
-What are nouns?
Numbered heads together -What happens if you are talking
about more than one person,
place, or thing?
-What is that called?
(Plural nouns!)

Focus 5 min Explain to students that you will


show them pictures of a person,
place, or thing and that they have
to write the correct spelling of the
plural noun as a table and raise it
in the air.
