Technical description
Plymovent offers a wide range of ventilators, fulfilling every demand for ventilation in
the working environment. The ventilators are equipped with a non-sparking impeller of
aluminum, specially designed to resist welding and other harmful fumes as dust, oil mist
and exhaust gasses. By using the Plymovent control equipment for operating the venti-
lators and other energy saving devices we support in decreasing building costs (like the
ES-90, ICE-LC/MD, M-1000 and OS4) together with Y/D start equipment or a frequency
transformer, the performance of the ventilator is utilized to its optimum. A correct way
of installing and use of the operating systems enable for a more efficient extraction rate
and thereby also reduce operating cost for the end-user. The ventilators are intended and
designed for mounting to a central ducting system.
Restrictions
The Plymovent ventilator is not to be used in explosive environments and this application
is therefore prohibited. Using the ventilator for extracting gasses that are explosive is
also strictly prohibited. The maximum airflow temperature is 80°c / 176°F and ambient
temperatures should not exceed 40°c / 104°F. When using the ventilator in an outdoor
environment a cover is required which protects the fan and electric motor from the
elements. Next to this vibration insulation from the mounting surface to the fan as well as
to the ducting is strongly recommend.
Delivery
The ventilator is delivered with an upward outlet and supplied with a protective screen on
both the inlet and outlet.
Advantages
• non-sparking impeller designed to handle vehicle exhaust gasses, volatile fumes and
dust. ( not specially designed to extract explosive gases!)
• High capacity ventilator and low sound level
• Housing constructed in galvanized steel, with a powder coat finish.
• All ventilators are equipped with a protective screen at both the inlet and outlet.
• Due to use of durable materials the ventilator has a long working life.
• The flexible ventilator housing enable for simple duct connections on both the inlet
and outlet*
* The outlets require round sleeves, please see “complementary equipment”, page 6

Performance shown is for installation type D: Ducted inlet, Ducted outlet. The sound power level ratings shown are in decibels, referred to 10-12 watts calculated per
AMCA standard 301. Values are shown for inlet LwiA sound power levels for installation Type D: ducted inlet, ducted outlet. Ratings include the effects of duct end
correction.

mounting instruction
To have a safe installation and ensure optimal functioning please follow these instructions:
Plymovent recommends you use a duct isolator on both the inlet and outlet of the ventilator.
Plymovent also recommends to use fan mounting vibration isolators on the fan itself as well as on the mounting plate (if used).
The outlet direction of a fan can be changed, we recommend this is done by Plymovent in order to ensure operational performance.
Please contact Plymovent in order to ensure correct working point and blast direction while it is possible to alter the fan's blast orientation in the field,
doing so may void factory warranty. The Plymovent TEV ventilators can be mounted in many different ways, to ensure an optimal functioning and not to
damage other items it is highly recommended to install the ventilator on a flat surface area for all fixing points. The fixing points must be strong enough
(see weight in the technical description part of this manual). Next to this a safety switch is recommended in the installation (not included), always turn
the safety switch to off and disconnect all power if inspection or service is needed on the ventilator.

Safety Information
1. The safety net must be mounted to the inlet of the fan prior to use.
2. Connection onto the electrical system may only be carried out by certified electricians.
