Strengths and Skills Audit
Identify the main strengths that you have. Give an example of time when that strength was
apparent.

Strength 1: Connecting to the songs


Example: I find I am able to connect to the songs that I sing. When performing in a
house music event I felt that I was able to connect with the song and this therefore
made my performance better.

Weaknesses
Identify the main weaknesses that you have. Give an example of a time when that weakness was
apparent.

Weakness 1: Confidence
Example: I loose confidence when forgetting lyrics on stage or just general performing

Weakness 2: forgetting lyrics


Example: when recently doing my auditioning for music unit I forgot lyrics to the song I was
performing and this then affected my confidence and ultimately ruined the performance.

Weakness 3: breathing
Example: It is sometimes hard to continue singing when I have taken a breath in the wrong
place in the song therefore it is very important to make sure I know where to breathe when
singing

What progress have you made this week (WWW)? PEER RFLECTION: this week I have chosen a few
songs that I would like to sing for my final performance, they are songs that I believe will
complement my singing style and should therefore work for my voice.

Week 2

Weekly target: this week I plan to work on making sure my confidence is good enough to be
able to sing in front of a large audience when singing in my final performance, I’m doing this
way in advance as I know this will take time.

Weekly target: this week I plan to work on duets with one of my peers, Millie.

find a song that works well for both of our voices and are currently in the process of putting

Weekly target: This week I plan to practice my duets with Millie and run through my whole 25
minute set to find out the times of each of my songs and make sure they all fit into 25 minutes.

Weekly target: This week I plan to finalize my 25 minute set whilst I continue to work on my
confidence and breathing.
