All Luminox watches feature a self-powered illumination system employing tiny micro gas light sources. This
Swiss technology guarantees unsurpassed ability to read the time, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for up to
25 years. Each watch has micro gas lights mounted on the hands, dial, and, when necessary, also on the bezel.

This technology does not depend on an external light source to “charge“ fluorescent paint on the dial or
hands in order to glow, nor do Luminox watches require the push of a button to light up as do watches with
electroluminescence.

1 TITANIUM
A high-tech material used in industries where weight and strength is important such as aerospace and
2 automobile racing. Titanium is as strong as some steels, but 45 % lighter and non-allergenic for those with
sensitive skin.

2 CRYSTAL
Our sapphire crystals are scratch resistant with anti-reflective coatings for superior readability at all
times. Our mineral crystals are specially hardened (550 to 650 Vickers), approximately 20% harder than 9
conventional mineral crystals.

3 3 CARBON COMPOUND
We use a special Carbon Compound material that results in a very stiff and hard finished watch case. This
high-tech material is frequently used in racing cars, airplanes and spaceships. Professionals around the
world choose it because of its perfect combination of light weight (comfort), strength and durability. For
undercover missions the matte finish material is also an important benefit.

4 4 STAINLESS STEEL
Luminox uses high grade 316L stainless steel which has superior strength. 316L steel is also more scratch
resistant and will not oxidize, rust or change color.

Automatic movement is a mechanical movement with a self-winding design which harnesses the energy produced
by wearer’s motion to wind the spring. The watch maintains its power reserve if you wear it every day otherwise
it is advisable to store it on a watch winder to keep it at full power.

withstand the enormous pressure of 62.5 bar,

5 HELIUM VALVE
In closed environment deep dives, such as
diving bells, dive vessels, etc., a helium mix
of air is used for breathing. Helium is much
thinner than air and can enter into the watch.
The helium valve allows the release of helium
when re-surfacing as the pressure increases.

2 STAINLESS STEEL 6 STRAP

Luminox uses high grade 316L stainless steel
which has superior strength. 316L steel is also
more scratch resistant and will not oxidize, rust

The Original Luminox Navy SEAL watch first introduced in 1994, is the timepiece
that put Luminox on the map. The officer in charge of procurement for the
Navy SEALs, Chief Nick North and Luminox worked together to develop a watch
specifically for the SEALs.

Since then Luminox has never strayed from its mission and this has been confirmed
and validated by the many elite military and law enforcement units that have
requested Luminox for their use around the world.

Luminox and the Navy SEALs

Luminox started its relationship with the U.S. Navy SEAL Teams over 20 years ago
when SEALs first discovered the unique self-powered illumination technology found in
Luminox watches, and requested a watch series be made for them. Since that first
meeting Luminox has continuously updated its line of watches to meet the demanding
requirements of this community of warriors as well as the needs of other elite forces
around the world. The Navy SEAL Colormark series is the evolution of that original
series of timepieces.

In 2013 Luminox had the opportunity to refine one of its watches to specifically address
the needs of maritime commandos with the direct collaboration of SEALs, both active

duty and retired. This partnership resulted in the A.N.U. (Authorized for Navy Use)
series featuring a stainless steel case, with screw crown and caseback, sapphire crystal,
multi-jewel Swiss quartz movement and 10 year lithium battery.

Luminox is partnering with retired Navy SEALs to offer the Special Operations Challenge
– the chance for civilians to train like a SEAL for a day. The Special Operations Challenge
watches commemorate this enduring relationship with the SEALs.

The addition of chronograph models represents a natural evolution of the Steel Colormark Series. The rugged 44
mm stainless steel case is designed to stand up to extreme conditions. Its uni-directional rotating bezel and highly
scratch-resistant hardened mineral crystal protect the chronograph dial, which displays elapsed time up to 12 hours.
Its color-coordinated numerals, bezel markings and hands are hallmarks of the Luminox Colormark collections. The

Scott Cassell is an expert counter-terro­rism operative and a consummate undersea
explorer, who embraces danger and relies on Luminox timepieces as part of his Essential
Gear.

For 15 years, Cassell was a principal investigator in field studies of Humboldt squid.
His filmmaking and production credits include more than 35 television shows and
documentaries broadcast on the Discovery Channel, the History Channel, MTV, Disney,
Animal Planet, Spike TV, the BBC, and more. He has also led an expedition for National
Geographic where he doubled as primary researcher.

He also heads up two organizations – Sea Wolves and Underwater Voyager Project

(UVP). Using SpecOps techniques, Sea Wolves identifies and films criminal acts, such
as the killing or maiming of endangered aquatic species, and turns the evidence over to
law enforcement to pursue prosecution. UVP is a non-profit organization that explores
the health of the oceans and why they are failing.

Cassell’s main mission today is to raise awareness of the deteriorating condition of

our oceans, mainly due to massive killing of the shark population. More than 200,000
sharks are killed every day for shark fin soup. “With the extermination of the sharks,
the ecosystem in our ocean is in danger.” says Cassell. “The oceans need warriors,
not more words!”
