Portfolio Artifact and Reflection

10 December 2017

For my reflection, I chose to reflect on the Field Trip Project. It was a great learning

experience to plan a trip for my future students and I really learned how much time and energy it

takes to plan a full experience for students. It follows InTASC standard 9 (Standard 9:

Professional Learning and Ethical Practice—The teacher engages in ongoing professional

learning and uses evidence to continually evaluate his/her practice, particularly the effects of

his/her choices and actions on others (learners, families, other professionals, and the

community), and adapts practice to meet the needs of each learner). It shows that as a teacher, if

I do not plan an event with every possible outcome, and every possible worst case scenario, then

something majorly bad could very well happen. I did not realize how much planning it takes to

plan a fun trip to the zoo for any age group.
