Board of Directors’ Workshop - Wednesday, September 22nd - 1pm - Lodge Oak Room
Timber Pines Community Association September 17, 2010

MANAGEMENT REPORTS
Recently, Hernando County Utilities Department distributed literature regarding the county watering
schedule. Please disregard this notice. Timber Pines Community Association is under a
T P C A F r i day F l a s h

separate watering variance from Southwest Florida Water Management District. This variance is
available in your TPCA Rules & Regulations, page 12.8.

Please note that on 7/27/10, the County returned to a one-day-per-week watering rule, therefore, all
Timber Pines residents must water on the SECOND day of their schedule. EVEN addresses
must water in the AM before 8am and ODD addresses must water in the PM after 6pm.

This information is available on our Timber Pines website and copies are also available at the Lodge
front desk and will be printed in the October 2010 TPCA newsletter.

Food and Beverage

Some of our snowbirds are already back and joining our full-time residents at the Country Club. The
first Dinner and Dancing event is back beginning Saturday, October 16th. We will continue the special
Dinner and Dancing evenings into November (on the 13th and the 27th). A 2.00 entertainment charge
per person will apply for these events. Gentlemen are encouraged to wear a jacket for the Dinner and
Dancing evenings in keeping with the special occasions (tie not required).

The grille room will continue to feature a casual menu for those residents wishing lighter fare.
Our popular Resident Appreciation Wednesdays will not be available during the month of December due
to our holiday parties. These will return in January.

Chefs’ Table Saturday, September 25th with Laquered Maple Leaf farms 1/2 duck with a Raspberry
Gastrique being the featured entrée. Limited seating available so make reservations early.

Special requests for items not on our menu are many times available. We like to accommodate all our
residents’ wishes but special requests are dependent on the volume of business and the ingredients
that are available (e.g. Western omelet or special vegetarian menu items). Rest assured we will try our
best to accommodate you and your guests. See you at the Club.

Golf Course & Landscape Operations - Eric Czarnecki

Currently the back 9 of the Lakes Course is closed due to the irrigation renovation. We are now at a
point where it becomes necessary to also close the back 9 of the Hills Course while we install the new
system. Therefore the back 9 of the Lakes will remain closed through 10/25 and the back 9 of the Hills
will be closed also from 9/17-9/21. We’ll then re-open the Hills back 9 and close the front 9 of the Hills
from 9/22-9/28 while we work on holes #7, 8 & 9.

This past week we aerified the front 9 Pines greens with ¼” needle tines in an effort to promote oxygen
throughout the soil profile. We are scheduled to aerify the Pines back 9 on Monday, September 20th
while the course is closed for normal maintenance. Due to this process normal golf play will begin on
the 10th tee for this day only.
