Good  evening  ladies  &  gentlemen!  Welcome  to  Claude’s  Le  Café  De  Ville!  We  
call  ourselves  the  cast  of  the  Curtain  Call  of  Broadway!  Last  December  2-­‐3,  
2017,  we  made  our  official  debut  concert  entitled  THE  CURTAIN  CALL  OF  
BROADWAY:  Songs,  Dances  &  Walks  from  the  Musicals  staged  at  the  Martin  
Hall  of  Ateneo  de  Davao  University.  Our  cast  is  composed  of  multi-­‐talented  
and  homegrown  Mindanaoans  of  varied  ages,  religions,  and  cultures.  We  aim  
to  form  a  unified  community-­‐based  repertory  group  in  support  of  those  
unfortunate  musicians  and  performers  who  want  to  pursue  their  passion  for  
music  but  are  not  given  support  or  opportunities.  
 
Tonight  in  celebration  of  Love,  Family,  Friends,  Great  Food  and  of  course,  the  
outpour  success  of  Claude’s  Le  Café  De  Ville,  we  bring  you  a  very  special,  one-­‐
night,  two-­‐part  concert  of  your  favorite  songs  from  Disney,  Broadway  and  
West  End  Musicals.  Please  sit  back,  relax  and  enjoy  your  dinner  and  our  songs  
that  we  have  specially  prepared  for  this  wonderful  occasion.  Thank  you.

Our  First  story  speaks  about  true  love.  An  arrogant  prince  and  his  servants  
fall  under  the  spell  of  a  wicked  enchantress.  Will  the  beast  ever  learn  to  love

Our  second  excerpt  begins  with  a  lamp,  a  genie  and  “street  rat”  who  falls  in  
love  with  a  crowned  jewel.  Nominated  for  five  Tony  Awards,  this  animated  
film  turned  into  musical  continues  to  delight  all  kids  at  heart  and  flies  us  to  
another  journey  to  a  whole  new  world.  Friends,  meet  Ms.  Ella  Velez  as

Our  next  excerpt  is  based  on  the  1831  novel  of  the  same  name  written  by  
Victor  Hugo  with  songs  from  the  1996  Walt  Disney  Animation  Studios  Film

original  Rodgers  and  Hammerstein  creation,  meet  Ms.  Bea  Lisondra,  our  
version  of  Linda  in  the  Flower  Drum  Song.

Our  last  two  excerpts  for  this  first  part,  both,  tell  a  story  of  a  young  man  who  
longs  to  find  passion,  love  and  adventure  in  his  life.  One  finds  his  own  
happiness  in  his  circus  and  the  other  in  the  throne  of  his  father’s  kingdom.

novel,  Anna  and  the  King  Siam  which  tells  a  story  of  a  Welsh  mother  who  
becomes  the  governess  and  English  tutor  to  the  wives  and  children  of  King  
Mongkut  of  Siam.  Ladies  and  Gentlemen,  meet  Mr.  Kuai  Dorado  as  the  King

Our  next  excerpt  is  a  musical  by  Claude-­‐Michel  Schonberg  and  Alain  Boublil.  
It  is  based  on  Giacomo  Puccini’s  opera  “Madame  Butterfly”,  and  similarly  tells  
the  tragic  tale  of  a  doomed  romance  involving  a  Vietnamese  lady  abandoned  
by  her  American  Lover.

In  an  attempt  to  cure  his  ailing  father's  mental  illness  by  separating  "good"  
from  evil  in  the  human  personality,  our  main  lead  inadvertently  creates  an  
alternate  personality  of  pure  evil  who  wreaks  murderous  havoc  in  London.  
He  must  race  to  find  a  cure  for  the  demon  he  has  created  in  his  own  mind.

Our  final  excerpt  of  the  night  is  the  world’s  longest  running  musical  where  it  
played  more  than  7,602  performances  and  shown  in  over  44  countries  and  
349  cities.  The  musical  tells  the  struggles  of  a  renewed  ex-­‐convict  and  his  
experience  of  redemption.  It  paints  the  picture  of  the  real-­‐life  French  
revolution  and  elaborates  upon  the  history  of  France,  politics,  justice,  
romantic  and  familial  love.  Ladies  &  Gentlemen,  may  I  present  on  stage  Mr.
