TP Task 3 – Planning for Learning
This task is linked to ECE3503: instructional strategies and planning for assessment. It
asks you to take on an active role in planning and preparing for active learning
environments. This task requires you to meet with your MST, and through his/her
guidance, plan a weekly plan using the school template. Evidence of implementation of
this plan is also required (added to blog with a reflection). You need 4 weekly plans for
WIKS.

Plan a weekly plan with your MST

Choose 1 subject and diagram the planning cycle that takes place in your school
setting.

 By the morning of Thursday before she starts her lessons my MST Miss Nora
gives me the lessons/topics that need to be covered by the following week, she
advises me which ones to choose and then starts her lesson
 I come up with activities and ideas regarding the lessons and discuss them with
her during the end of the day in the teacher’s lounge.
 She tells me which ideas she likes and doesn’t and I try to blend my lesson in the
same formation she would teach so that the students cycle isn’t broken.
 One of the lessons she and I had to discuss was the On Holiday unit in the
English subject
 She showed me the textbook and gave me the key words to work on
 The Clo’s chosen by her were;
- Identify the on holiday words.
- Remember what they see in a beach.
- Recognize the new words.
